MeathookFollow

Today I tried doing The Culling of Stratholme on heroic as a Pally healer. I am not overly geared but not too bad. We had a DK tank, DK as DPS and 2 Mages. Everything went alright until we got to Meathook.

In short, his chains rape. Since I only have 1 instant cast heal on a CD and no HoTs it was really hard to heal through the silence. Have any Pallys healed through him easily, any tips to share?

We tried stepping behind a corner to line of sight him, but I still got hit by his chains once in a while and it made healing that much more difficult.

Well the only thing I can suggest is having Improved Concentration Aura to lessen the length of the silence and to make sure you've hit Meathook with Judgement of Light. Try to keep Divine Favor up for when you really need to hit the tank with a Holy Shock otherwise hope for the best.

I've healed through him without trouble. Just keep your tank high in HP and hope you can get out of it by the time the tank dies. With a good tank it shouldn't be terribly hard. I usually have a tank last stand the first one and use a shield wall on the 2nd one and if its not dead by then I just have to hope the tank can keep up till I'm out. There really isn't anything you can do to prevent it just roll with it and make sure your tank understands they need to use cooldowns to win.

Pretty sure the problem was the reliance on casters, we had 2 mage DPS who were putting out under 800DPS. I healed through over 3 hooks.

Problem is solved now anyway, both me and tank are geared well enough to get by without a problem.

I went in with 8 dungeon blues, which is what Heroics are geared for I guess. Wiped on him around 7 - 8 times first with a shaman healer, then with a priest before getting lucky and beating him. I wouldn't worry about it too much, the guy's just an *******.
