wep enchants for pvp and pveFollow

#1 Nov 23 2008 at 1:13 PM Rating: Decent
what are you guys going to put on your weps when you hit 80?

for raiding it looks like berserking is the way to go. for pvp maybe superior potency or even mongoose still. but until you get 2 sets of weps and while you will still be doing some pvp grinding/ rep grinding and 5 or 10 mans do you feel that mongoose will be the safe way to go? on shadowpanther it seems to be the best enchant for both pvp and pve if you had to pick just one.

what are everyone elses thoughts on this

I've not looked at the spreadsheet for the numerical difference but when I downloaded it again this weekend, I noticed both MH and OH had Massacre on by default.

Right now, as I'm levelling, I'm putting Greater Potency on but that's just because it's cheap to cast and I'm levelling enchanting at the same time. When I get to 80 (next weekend) I'll look into this in more detail.

I'll be using Superior Potency for "transitional" weapons (stuff I'm not expected to have very long) and as far as my numbers tell me Berzerking looks like the more permanent enchant for the "keepers." Although, I might consider Accuracy for an alternative depending on other gear or for a swap-able alternative pair of weapons what with +Hit being so hard to come by in WotLK itemization.

Note: I believe Massacre is a 2-hand weapon enchant. Wonder if my info is incorrect or if the spreadsheet is off. Hmmm....

*Edit: Yup, Massacre is for 2-handers. Bummer ;(

PvP: Mongoose MH, Weapon Chain OH
PvE: Berserking x2 for keepers (naxx+ gear), ap or mongoose for transitional weapons (days vs. weeks)
