Hey everyone,
I have not done any raiding on my rogue at all and had a few questions. Are rogues even useful for raiding anymore? It seems to me that other classes just offer much more to a group than a rogue would. With the recent changes of making all classes DPS about the same the hybrid classes just seem more viable over a rogue. I find myself thinking that my rogue can DPS but other than that and some CC my rogue offers very little compared to say a Paladin or Druid who can from what I hear do similar DPS and offer healing, auras, off-tanks and other stuff.

Blizzard's design philosophy (as stated by them) is now, 'bring the player, not the class'. You no longer need to min/max to beat raid content, you no longer need to stack consumables or classes: instead, you take some tanks (4 viable classes) some healers (4 viable classes) and some dps (10 viable classes). This means that inept, clueless social retards will have a hard time finding groups. Ah widdums. Fortunately, most of us (probably yourself included), do not fall into this category of player. We have friends, or at least acquaintances, who enjoy our company and like to kill bosses in raids. Make friends, be polite and helpful, get a guild who have a basic clue (and the numbers to actually do stuff), and you'll have no trouble finding a raid spot.

Thanks for the information. I never looked at it that way before and that cleared it everything up pretty well. I am just so used to playing MMO's which always seems like get X class over Y class etc. I play with some good friends of mine that I have been gaming with for the past few years so it shouldn't be as much as a problem as I thought. I love this class a lot and was getting quite discouraged.

Also note that rogues do have something pretty neat-o: AoE MD.
Tricks of the Trade + SnD + Blade Flurry + Murder Spree/Fan of Knives = Awesome.
Only recently figured it out and I was doing this all day in heroics today with a pally tank to great effect.

Also very worth noting: Dismantle works on every heroic mob with a weapon. Including bosses.
I doubt it'll work on raid bosses but I haven't been in naxx yet to test. (going tomorrow)

Thanks for the inputs everyone. Also, I just saw the future update to Fan of Knives so I am a bit more excited now. I am sure it will be a nice little change but nothing too drastic.
