ok, ive been wanting to level a healy specced class for a while and ive settled on either a holy pally or resto shammy, now for some reason everyone i ask says shammy because its better than pally OR pally because its better than shammy. now i like both classes but im trying to figure out which one i would enjoy more, so i wanted some tips or anything that help in my decision, i plan on raiding with it once i get 80, if that helps any. (this will also be posted on paladin forums)

As far as healers are concerned, you are compairing apples to banana's. Pally's are the best single target healers, with mana efficency out the wazoo. Shaman have pretty decent single target heals, but where they shine is raid healing. So you need to ask yourself which role you want to play. Both are good, each has their own tricks to bring to the table.
