Quest Bug?Follow

Hey guys,

I'm trying to finish this 'get your mount' quest in the starting area. I get down to O K Corral down there and jump on an unsuspecting equine.

Immediatly, my action bars disappear. I ride this thing up to the quest giver, and the question mark over his head is still white (not yellow). I can not talk to him or interact with anyone else in the game. I actually have to log out and log back in.

When I log back in, I am unmounted, and the quest remains unfinished.

Before I put in a ticket, has anyone seen this?

Yeah - I was thinking this was a Mod issue.

I did that 'ride the stupid orb' quest and did the surveilance on that town already though. So I'm not sure why this one is acting up.

Just to be sure here, by "get your mount" quest I presume you mean the quest whereby a DK gets HIS mount?

You get transported to a sort of parallel world, where everything is sort of grey and fuzzy?

You find the Rider?

Battle him?

Then mount HIS mount and return to the starter area?

You dismount, then click on the quest-giving NPC?

I've done this quest 3 times and every time it's been quite straight-forward.

Same problem I had - as others have said, with the standard UI (And action bar mods that have been updated to handle the new vehicle mount interface), you get a bar with the buttons needed.

My action bar mod was only a slight alteration mod (all it allows me to do is move the position of the bars), but it prevented the new vehicle bar from displaying ... exactly as you described. All I did was disable it and voila - it worked (you might need to log out and in).

I would seriously suggest sorting out your bars, as there are other (at least 2) quests in the DK starting area that use this bar, and you won't be able to do them if you can't see it. Mods like Dominos or Bartender4 work fine - there may be others. The default UI works perfectly as well ;->. You will also need this functionality throughout Northrend.
