I though we would get them as well. Really makes sense and opens up a lot of new weapons.

Somehow it does not make any sense to me that we get polearms, but you do not hear me complaining about it.

Same length as Staves

Probably more lightweight than a 2-handed Mace

Doesn't look like a sissy dagger or book

Not that I am an incredible expert in this area, but the big difference is the way you deal damage with a staff (crushing, pounding, perhaps a little bit of poking even) and the way you deal damage with a polearm (piercing, slashing and perhaps another bit of poking too). Somehow, in my eyes, daggers are a misfit too to the druids since we should not want to draw blood unless in ROAAWRR-forms, fighting on pure instinct.

But that is just the way I see it and not even close to a universal law...
