With alot of us fast approaching 80, might as well hit the ground running by tossing some specs around:
////
ScourgeStrike/Imp RuneTap: (18/0/53)

LichBorne/UnholyBlight: (0/16/55)

Im prob gonna take the first spec more seriously than the second, having 3K+ hp in your pocket with Imp RT is > Unholy Blight IMO.

Feel free to share.

Hello everyone,
I have extensively tried all three talent trees as well as a few hybrid builds in both pve and pvp. So far these are the top specs i have found: This is the best build i have found. You get the powerhouse of HS while still retaining ur powerful beast of a pet. So far i have been impossible to kill with this spec. http://http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=jfV0qccIsf0tzZZfMMIzcox0o There is 1 point left unspent. It really doesnt matter if u take gargoyle or hysteria. They average about the same in usefullness. I went with the gargoyle just cuz its the only RP talent in the build (excluding DC) and its easy to keep up for the full minute.

For those of you who enjoy (or ar being forced to) tanking. With this spec i have no problem what-so-ever in holding aggro in any situation. Once again you get to keep your ghoul as a pet (really made a huge difference over just having it for 2min of every 5, and not to mention an xtra corpse to xplode every 5 min). http://http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=jZGxxtcxzoGohsoZ0gGczcox0o

Yes i understand they are both hybrid builds and yes you do lose out on the 51 point talents, however i have checked the dps charts of my builds compared to my friends specs (1 is full blood the other was full unholy) i out dpsd them both easy in comparison. i wish i could link the charts as proof of my statement, alas i cannot.

If you do happen to try my builds plz give me some feedbak. i am working on a more unholy based spec atm and will be posting that in this thread in no time at all.

Here is the spec i mentioned earlier.

Another member of Allakhazam pointed it out to me a few days ago, can't remember who. I think its a very good spec.

Also, im pretty sure crypt fever counts as a disease as far as bonus damage with plague strike goes, so that makes it about even with heart strike, plus it boosts your disease damage.

Raxarango, your first build includes 5/5 Impurity and 0/2 Two-Handed Weapon Specialization. Why?

As far as I've learned, Impurity is nigh useless since it simply adds 25% to the attack power -> spell power coefficient and doesn't increase your spell power by 25% of your attack power as some believe. I heard it adds something like 60 damage to Icy Touch and then everything goes downhill from there.

As for 2h weapon specialization, 2% damage for 1 talent point is more than some classes get. I'm curious why you didn't max out that talent.

Here's the way I'd go, personally.

Keep in mind I've not played a DK to 80, just mid-60s.

You'd be much better off with some point in Blade Armor over Scent of Blood for one thing.

this

yes, im ignoring tundra stalker... point for point i cant find things worth sacrificing

and yes, i want 120 cap on my RP

3 frost strikes in a row is not hard to get to, but is harder to anticipate... especially all the +frost dmg and its whole ignore armor thing

thats pure pvp though, i cant afford icy talons or nothin -_-

side note:

why the **** blood of the north AND DRM?

blood tap on demand, CoI on demand, IT spam, triple oblit, flexability is worth a minor crit or ap loss to me

cuz i already seen a gigantic IT spam x5 CoI rune tap save my life

Will a spec like this work well with a healer in 2vs2?
Or simply 21/0/50 or 21/5/45

Or what build do u think will work best paired with a healer?

@ Raqiel

I do not think you would need Improved Rune Tap, or Rune Tap at all, if you are pairing with a healer in 2 v 2 Arenas.
