This is my lvl 75 ffb spec. It's more fun for me thant the straight frost spec i was using previously. It definetly does more damage. I'll break down why I took some of the talents I did. Bear in my mind that is spec is for leveling.

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=oZfVccoMhuVubushhI0sk0h

I took world in flames because for leveling I still want to be able to do AOE when there are a bunch of mobs I have to kill for a quest or I have rested XP I can use.

I took Impact for leveling as well, with the molten shileds talent making molten armor proc on ranged attacks as well this actuall procs often. Add to that the molten armor glyph and it's a no brainer

I never cast scorch while leveling so it's worthless to me. I use fireblast and icelance as my instant cast, and I have the talent that reduces the Fireblast Cooldown.

Remember that flame throwing doesn't affect FFB. Thats why I didn't get it.

FFB will proc frostbite which is why i have the shatter talent.

I have 1 point in blizzard so a chill effect gets added. Blizzard can crit now and it will proc frostbite.

There is a bunch of stuff that will change once I hit 80.

Frostfire for me(well, when someone on my server finally discovers it).

I just know it'll be expensive when someone finally does...

I'd be willing to pay about 200g for it at this point, personally.

I saw 2 after clearing the Aracnid Wing of 10 man Naxx today for 55g. Needless to say, I picked it up.

I will check out your tree's Anobix but what would be different with what you have between levelling and raid specs?

Levelling you want your mobs dead now, raid spec I had previously was more dps over a slower amount of time.
Anyway I'll have a look and see what I can work out as there doesnt seem to be any specific build as yet, it just seems to be personal choice.
I'll have a good look at your tree to mgjr as your in the same boat level wise as me.

Does the Frost talents apply to Frostfire for extra dps, like using Piercing Ice would benefit it?
Or are the Frost talents purely for Frost spells only in this case?
I'am still not fully up with the potential of Frostfire, how to maximise the best out of it and utilise it correctly.
Thanks guys.

Alright. I used Anobix's tree, save for the Living Bomb, which I put more into Shatter. Wow. We did Patchwerk and it performed wonderfully. I have always trusted Anobix's judgment and this is no different.

I trust him to mate, thats why I ask my quesitns here on the forums.
I have mimiced his tree as best I can at level 76, fireball lost some cast time with only 3 points in there so Frostfire is being used a lot more in my rotation and seems to be working very nicely.
I got the 3 glyphs as mentioned and have saved the Scorch one until lvl80 when I get another glyph slot open up.
What minor glyph's are we using?
Thanks for the help guys.

Frost talents and Fire talents that say "Frost Spells" or "Fire Spells" almost always benefit Frostfire Bolt. The synergy of Ice Shards, Burnout and Ignite are a big part of what makes FFB so powerful.

It only applies to the spells listed in the descriptions.

none of the above mentioned specs seem to have picked up the improved fireball / frostbolt talents.

Isn't this a quick and easy way to increase dps?

Why are these talents being skipped?

Because they don't affect Frostfire Bolt.
