I think Curra or Currate would be a good name for a death knight. It's the imperative singular or plural for run in Latin. Curra basically means "Run!"

There are no "cool DK names". Period. Since Death knights are fallen heroes, figure out what the character's name was BEFORE the lich king resurrected him. Did his parents name him "Darthmuffins" before the change? If they didn't, then it's not a "cool" name.

So people don't take on new names or nicknames as they age or grow? News to me!

All my characters are named with some type of food (started out as a joke because I love to cook, and I just had to stick with it). So my DK is Eggsecutionr.

I named my BE DK Vanaheimr. I did a little research on Norse mythology and found this little gem. A Vanaheimr is on who resides in Vanir. This realm is akin to Asgard as it is also a home for the gods Nord, Frer, and Freya (this theory is still under dispute by Norse scholars). The Vanir warred with the Aesir and eventually unified into one tribe of gods. If I remeber correctly, one of THor's generals was a Vanaheimr. Vanaheim is also the name of a Norse metal band.

My DK is named Nekasrof, it's Forsaken spelled backwards but it sounds Russian when you pronounce it.

My buddy needed help coming up with names so I used Dictionary.com and Thesaurus.com to find him some. The top 3 we came up with were: Renascent (means "Reborn"), Cimmerian (mythological person who lives in darkness), and Tenebrous (means darkness). He went with Tenebrous because Cimmerian was taken, and I told him if he went with Renascent then I would call him "Smelly" :)

Mine's a play on my daughter's nickname. The DK's named Lilmouse. :) A pink-haired, pigtailed female Gnome DK. Short, feisty and full of evil. Which is a pretty fair description of my daughter, actually. Smiley: grin And short with pink pigtail is a pretty fair physical description of my daughter, too. She likes it, so it's all good. Smiley: lol

IMO, nothing with the words Death or Knight in it!

This. But add in any variations of Arthas. I ran Shattered Halls on my mage the other day with a DK named Arthisjr. Surprisingly, he was decent, but his name made me want to smack him.

I think the name I chose is pretty cool. *points to sig* It's a combination of Morgain le Fey, King Arthur's sister, and Morrigan, the celtic goddess of death.

I think mine's pretty cool. It's a combination of Mograine, the leader of the death knights, with an additional homage to the tauren race.

Moograine.

Sadly, it is not unique: http://www.wowarmory.com/search.xml?searchQuery=moograine&searchType=all

Yeah, mine has two pages of toons as well. Just because a name isn't unique doesn't make it cool though. :-) You put thought into it and that's what counts. Now if you would have gone with Mograinejr, that's not much better than the Arthasjr or Arthisjr toons I've seen.
