Had my first Northrend ding yesterday and I feel kind of cheated that I haven't had a single upgrade yet.
I've received about 20 quest rewards but all of the mail items seem to have:
Lots of Stamina
Lots of Haste
Lots of Crit
No Agility
Spiked Magmoth Chestpiece
Ethical Epaulettes
etc
Is this a trend in Wrath?
Haste is pretty useless to me as a BM hunter, I was hit rating, agility and intellect dammit!

We don't really lose the haste later on, but don't lose hope. about 80% of hunters QQed about TBC because all the quest rewards seemed more tuned towards Shaman.
Just go along with it. Stamina is nice for leveling. Worry about getting more balanced stats when you hit 80 and start wanting to run Naxx.

Check the pre-raid stuff, there's enough agility on there.
Outside of that, most of my gear is T5/6 quality so there's no point checking quest rewards cause my stuff is better anyways :P

I have vendored every quest reward so far, save for a couple interesting looking trinkets. I usually select the plate gear when its an option, it doesn't make me feel so guilty about selling some mail then :)
So far the only quest reward I've been using is the Death Knight's Anguish trinket (think that's the name) and it's amazing for a green. The proc lasts 20 seconds which usually means a full 10 seconds with an extra 150 crit rating....and the lack of any kind of haste makes me smile. :) Seems to proc more than my Hourglass of the Unraveller, too.

I choose the plate reward and vendor it. My Kara purples are still better than the stuff down at 70-esque. The only thing I upgraded was my Valanos' Long Bow. That went with the very first quest, but the crossbow from the seal dude is equivalent as well. The LK bow was a significant dps upgrade. Nothing else has matched what I already have and I have pretty *MEH* gear.
So, I've been disappointed as well. All the +STA and +Haste is a waste of time.

I have switched from my epics now, for the most part, to Northrend based gear; Frostscale set... very nice set. Its a crafted set. Whole set went for under 120 gold on AH spanning three days of monitoring. Get the Dark variety chest and legs when you can. Very happy so far. Fairly sure it will get replaced soon, but for the early levels its just right. Weapons have not changed. Nothing better yet. Trinkets are much better. Love the Death Knight pendent thing. Sweet! All the best stuff is at the Exalted level rep or instances/raids, as usual.
I just don't want to replace anything that is gemmed because I will lose my meta gem bonus on my helm lol. So I'm just banking anything that might be good for me and when I replace my helm, then all hell will break loose and I will be a brand new huntard
