If all stats are the same which is better for a prot pally?

For questing/soloing or tanking?

Previously, I was fond of faster weapons as a Horde Paladin since Seal of Righteousness was the mainstay. With the recent changes to Seal/Judgment mechanics, the seals themselves, and certain abilities being based off of the raw DPS of the weapon... I haven't made up my mind yet.

So far I'm still leaning in the "slightly quicker" direction, but I tend to like to make a pretty detailed evaluation of things like this (where experimenting is pretty easy and its not vital to know right away) before making up my mind.

Sorry it's not more specific. Best I can say is... try things out, get used to the changes and find what works better for what you're doing.

Just wanted to make sure I wasn't breaking some well known weapon speed rule that I didn't know about for prot pallies.

As far as I'm aware, it's the best you can find stat-wise. Hammer of the Righteous is now normalised damage and SoV is what you'll likely to be using for tanking and it stacks fairly quickly in any case. So go for the avoidance!

HotR is based on wpn dps and isn't normalized via wpn spd whatsoever. Generally faster is slightly better, but go with highest dps wpn you can find for lvling, and try and pickup an avoidance wpn with decent dps en route.
