"Master of Ghouls" question: bug or not?Follow

I have the talent Master of Ghouls, meaning my "pet" doesn't dissappear after 2 minutes.
However, if I take an Airship, I lose my pet... which is annoying as that uses up more of my Corpse Dust.
I'm just wondering, since we have this talent, as a "Master of Ghouls", shouldn't our pet be a bit more permanent than that?

Maybe, but if you think about it more deeply, walking around with a horrendous Ghoul it's not something someone would do in a town or a public place.
But that's just me, is the dust expensive at that?

No, it's not a question of cost.
And actually, I only just realized that other reagent vendors carry stocks of it as well.
It's just annoying having to lug around a stack of reagent to summon a pet that's supposed to be "permanent".

Ive noticed this too and I have to say its kind of annoying. Although to most 70s 50s per corpse dust isnt a lot, my highest is a 69 who skins clefthoof at a sluggish rate. In addition to this I like pvping with my Death Knight, and since it seems to disapear when I die, thats more money out of my pocket.

I also would like if they lesened the cooldown on this spell a bit, as it seems a little annoying when I have to wait so long to resummon it.

I have yet to need to have corpse dust.. kill something, and get the ghoul from the kill, yes? But I think that from airship... yeah that's a bug. Warlock or Hunter pet's do not disappear from them, only when you mount up. I haven't had one out, and tried to use a flight path. But pet's generally stay out when you arrive to your destination.


I think 50s is alot to ask for the regent. Even if gold is easily obtained.

I think it should work like the warlock's pet. If the game "force" it to disappear, it should refund the dust to your inventory.

Alrighty then...
I'm suspectig this may have been some sort of game-glitch, or intermittant bug, because I have just taken both a Zeppelin, and a Flight Path ride, and both times, my pet re-appeared out of the ground upon arrival.

Did you hit a loading screen during those trips though? Even on my lock and hunter I sometimes lose my pet when going through a loading screen.

Must be a bug. I've not lost my ghoul on an airship or flight path. I do think corpse dust is a little over priced though. I'd prefer it if it was a drop from undead/humanoids that we could farm ourselves.

Same spell different question, with Master of Ghouls, how does it affect rezzing players as ghouls? Can it still be done with the talent? And can it be done if your ghoul is already out?

I have the same problem with my warlock minions, which shouldn't disappear. It's a glitch that Blizz is aware of (it's been around since 3.0 and I've turned in bug reports, anyhow). Hopefully they will take care of it soon - it costs you corpse dust and it costs me shards.
