Can an item only be enchanted once? I tried replacing the Rune on my sword, standing almost on top of the Runeforge and kept getting the message that I need to be near a Runeforge. Is it a glitch?

*edit: It seems that once you clear the starting DK quests and go back to the Ebon Hold, you're free to runeforge your weapon(s) as much as you want*

Glitch I have had to reforge mine a couple of times now. I learned the hard way runeforging and enchanting don't stack. That's 50g I wish I had back.

Well you've already figured it out, but yes, you have to complete the starting quests before you can runeforge again.

Yeah there was a glitch that didn't let me runeforge while I was supposed to be fighting the scourge/patchwerk. Once I completed the quest and went back later, I was able to do it fine. Yes you can only have one enchant/rune on your weapon at a time, and yes enchanting your weapon replaces the rune, and yes runeforging weapons replaces weapon enchants.
