I remembered this little graph in light of the generally subpar (imho) subject matter of our little forum here lately, e.g. trainable flight form QQage, semantics of PI talent description, and the mother of all low-value threads "you know you're a feral druid if". Blecchhh!!! I blamez the patch! http://graphjam.com/?s=forum

As somebody who hasn't had time to buy, install and play WLK yet I personally hope those of you that HAVE done so follow the pattern shown in the graph and come back to start posting druidic impressions of the brave new frozen world. Fun quests, cool mobs, and especially links to some early quest rewards that'll make me drool. Stuff like that. Please bring it on, quench my thirst for WLK!!!

Sigh. Still stuck at work for another couple of hours. I picked up the game at midnight, then played till I fell asleep at my desk :) Finally went to bed at 4:30am and got up at 7:30am to head off to work for 11+hours. Can't wait to get home to see what it is like when I am awake :)

I picked up my copy at midnight the other day, by 1am I had it installed. From 1-2 I played my drood, getting him to Borean Tundra and doing some quests. In about 35 minutes I got 200k worth of XP and decided it was time to do the DK thing. Rolled one and spent another hour there, getting him to 56 (59 now) and then passed out. Woke up an hour late and was late for work, worked 12 hours and went home to play for another 3 (all on DK).

I think most of my problem was that I was getting burnt on raids of which 90% of the time I took my drood to. So having a new class to play and level has been fun. Also Unholy is awesome. It's like Affliction for locks. Intense rotation of diseases, then pestilence to spread them, then spamming your single target melee hit. Fun.

BTW, the graphics are awesome in Northrend. The quests are kinda fun and it definitely has en epic, they spent time on this, kinda feel.

(The DK starter areas are AWESOME. Way fun to get going. Although it seems like noob ebay central in chat with all the idiots stealing precious oxygen from my brain with their "how do we do this" "how do we do that" questions)

been too busy playing to really think about writing anything. its just so....friggin....awesome....

leveled my DK a bunch, got him from 55 to 59 in the span of a day (not really hard, you get 58 just by leaving the initial area really....the challenge comes in outland, when youve gotta fend off the 70's). naturally, 70's were coming at me on the DK, so i had to regulate on my warrior, which then turned into killing a bunch of horde DK's because a few of them had decided to gang up on some alliance DK's and then it became a matter of kill all the horde DK's cause ya never know which ones are "good" and which ones are "bad"....

*deep breath*

it was totally awesome.

long story short, we're busy. expect camping stories soon tho; ive had to teach no less than a dozen people that their actions have very real consequences, all of which will result in them spirit rezzing at least once. and no, you cant hide in your town, because shadowmeld is now a feign death, so i WILL follow you in there, chasing you into your inn, aggroing who knows how many guards on the way, only to drive my axe between your eye sockets hearing that ever-so-satisfying wet crunch that comes with severe head trauma, kick your still-twitching corpse from the edge of my blade and then....quietly slip into the shadows, where i wait to begin it all again.

if you want rest xp little DK's, you're going to have to go someplace else besides thrallmar, for inside your inn lies doom.

Thanks, you guys are the best. : ) The multiple "awesomes" have me very excited to get in there already. I'd been temporarily respec'd balance for the recent "pre WLK time-killing" phase of the game, and while the DPS/playstyle weren't bad I swear I did a happy dance when I got my Mangle back...I can't wait to rip some frozen faces apart.
