This may seem like a strange question.. or not... but, can you party with another DK when in the starter area's instanced section?

I always duo with my gaming partner, and I was curious as to when we each start a DK, will we be stuck soloing until we leave the starter area? Or will we be immediately able to party and quest together, as we have with all our other toons?

dont know. it seems counterintuitive to do such a thing however. the whole idea of an MMO is to get with people and play, so id imagine you could party and duo together like normal.

yes, you can. My wife and I duoed our DKs in beta without many problems.

The main problem I had was experience splitting - If you solo, it's fairly easy to end up around L58 when you finish the beginning quest line, and head straight to Outland. If you duo, you might come out of it at L56 with the need to do more leveling to get to the good stuff (outland greens are better than what you will be starting with), like I did.

Also, it'd be good for you to know, that if you do party together, it'd be best to be on the same quests together, otherwise if you do party together and one person is just starting while the other is already on their 6th quest or so, you wouldn't be able to see each other.

This is mainly due to the fact that the quests are in stages, which in turn puts you in a new "instance."

You can group to do the starter chain, HOWEVER, if you are in a different phase with someone else, they cannot see you or help you. The person you're grouping with needs to be on the same part of the chain as you are.
