Glyphs?Follow

Trying to decide how to glyph a PvE Ret pally.
Currently I have Glyph of Judgment(major) and Glyph of Wisdom(minor), but I was thinking of trading out Judgment for Crusader. Would the 20% additional proc-rate override 10% Judgment damage in the 20's/30's and even beyond?

I've been debating tossing Herbalism for a more enjoyable craft, but I'm not sure I could deal without Lifeblood! I understand it's a new addition, but it has saved my life countless times. A free 480hp/5sec HoT is incredible... But I figure Enchanting/Mining with a Smithing alt would do me very well?

I'll assume you mean command, not crusader. Don't use seal of command, use seal of blood/martyr. Glyph of judge is a must have, I'd also reccomend glyph of FoL when available as you use that ability quite a bit as a ret thanks to art of war. For the third major, nothing is really that great; Blood or Crusader gets you a bit more efficient mana usage, which isn't really a huge problem. I took exorcism as i thought the interrupt would be worth it for some boss fights in wrath.

Minors suck. Might is useful for soloing in that it saves you reagents; sense undead does something at least, but at the cost of leaving track nodes/herbs off, there is nothing at all to put inthe third slot, i guess lay on hands. Hopefully they will add some more creative pally glyphs at some point (glyph of summon warhorse that makes your charger into a GIANT NINJA).

it sounds like he's talking about leveeling up through the 20's and 30's. he can't use blood/martyr yet. for now seal of command is the way to go.

as for glyphs, i'd use glyph of Judgement for now. when you get room for a second major glyph you could get Glyph of Seal od Command, but as soon as you get seal of blood/the martyr you should spec out of seal of command and change that glyph to something more useful. glyph of divinity (i think that's what its called) is what i'm using for now till I find something better.

Couldn't find a current thread on this so thought I'd res this one and take a slight tangent.

What are people using for top end Prot glyphs?

I'm thinking Consecration, Vengeance and RD but Exorcism sounds mighty fine too... is there much use for it in the raid content though?

The only really mandatory prot glyph is Seal of Vengeance. 10 expertise skill is massive. After that I was using Divinity and Spiritual Attunement, with minors of LoH, Sense Undead, and BoM. I could see using Consecration and Exorcism, but... *shrug*

Consecration is maybe 10% of my damage now, and I specced for 30 second HoJ. If anything needs more interrupts than that, there's about 6 other classes to do it that still do it better than exorcism.

With respect to your herbalism comments:

With the combined Lifeblood, the trinket from the undercity quest-line, and the new health/mana pots - I have really been impressed. I was doing the ampitheater quest line at the MT in a group of 4 people. We were able to do the entire chain without a healer. We had a OT warrior. So - basically I'd tank the mobs, Lifeblood, then trinket, then Pot, then Bubble (Heal bandage) - Warrior would off-tank, I'd come back in and re-establish agro - then still had LoH.

That herbalism trait has saved me in instances too. I love it.
