Mongoose, the expansion, and upgrading.Follow

Like everyone, I have mongoose on my weapons. But the expansion is coming out and those weapons will soon be upgraded. Obviously, I won't be putting Mongoose on whatever I upgrade to since I won't wanna drop the cash in order to do so. My question, then, is how much of a difference in DPS on weapons is needed to be considered an upgrade if my weapons now have Mongoose and what I'm switching to won't?

Spreadsheet.

Take mongoose off, add the difference to your weapons, and there's your rough answer.

There are. Can't remember them off-hand, but they're there.

Superior Potency - +65 AP
Berserking - Chance to increase AP by 400 and reduce YOUR armor by 25%
Accuracy - +25 Hit +25 Crit

A few of the decent new ones :D

Both of the ones I've crossed out are complete crap for PvE.

Berserking is bad for PvP, but they're still working on enchants. Worst comes to worst, we'll be using Superior Potency (65 AP).

Berserking is such an interesting enchant. 400 AP per weapon proc is hax, but if it procs at a bad time against another rogue or paladin you'll drop like a stone.

You'll never use it in PvP.

Meh, it's not hard to get PvP weapons.

From my napkin math I'm looking at Mongoose winning out slightly for Mutilate (as in, like ~2 MAEP). But I haven't started serious number crunching yet. Too busy killing orcas :D

For an affordable leveling enchant I have found the +50 AP potency to be something you can just dump on those blue weapons you grab.
