Here it is folks. Just about 1 day until Wrath of the Lich King goes live, and it's the post you've all been waiting for. Yes we still have a week or two until we're all 80, but with today's server downtime I decided to put together a gearing list to get you ready for heroic 5-mans in the new expansion.
This list is geared towards combat rogues, but for the most part it will work well for any spec (except for the weapons of course). There are a few items with more crit and less haste that will probably be better for mutilate, but I'll get to those later.
All of these items are available without doing any heroics. Some from drops in 5-mans others from 5-man quest rewards. The boots, legs and 1 ring are crafted and 1 or 2 are rep rewards with none of the reps being higher than honored, except the ranged weapon which requires an easy to obtain revered rep. I'm not gonna speculate on Muti weapons because I'm not sure what speeds are best for it right now and I have a feeling Blizz is gonna do something to bring Muti back to slow/slow as best.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Only 2 pieces of gear with a total of 71 hit rating on them, and only a couple sockets to work with. That's going to be brutal against lvl 82 mobs. I'm not sure we'll even be hit capped for specials.

There isn't a lot of gear before Naxx 10 with that much hit rating on it.
There seems to be 2 types of gear: Haste and Crit. From what I'm seeing, the crit gear will be better for muti builds while the haste gear is better for combat.
With the change to Windfury Totem hit rating has been devalued for combat builds and haste has kind of taken over as the stat of choice after agi and AP.
Edit: If you want to check for yourself, the drops from normal 5-mans are iLevel 187. The heroic drops are iLevel 200 whether they are rare or epic.

Nice job on the list, the lack of hit though is making me want to roll muti until I can get enough for combat.
