Changing weapons during battle with resto shammyFollow

I just got a high dps weapon just for grins. My attack in PVE is to hit two lighting bolts and a flame shock with my healing weapon (+200 spell dmg) than switch to my dps weapon with no spell power increase but goes from approx 50 to 100 dps. Math wise am I wasting my time in doing this? n

Just stick with a caster weapon and imbue it with Flametongue. The majority of the "melee" damage will be from the flametongue procs. Even if you use a high dps weapon... you won't do good white damage cause you don't have the AGI, AP, etc. to do good white damage.
