Ok so I've tried a bunch of them.

I don't understand why the exotics are huge, clunky, loud, obnoxiously wing spanned heathens. I'd like a pet as a partner, not something that would knock me over if the game didn't keep it a few arms lengths away from me.

So I tried a hyena. But you have to monitor it's behavior constantly or it will tendon rip right from the start.

I loved my Nether Ray. But somewhere along the line it seems as if their casting debuff was changed to a longer timer. (?)

Silithids twitch so much they make me want to take a xanax.

Worms spit and go, when I'd rather have them go, then spit.

I would suggest that epileptics do not get wasps. Those wings are a seizure waiting to happen.

My cat still rocks. But he has a hard time surviving the larger battlegrounds. Smaller BG's he's great. He'll be good for raids though.

Love the gorilla, but it's restricted to certain types of game play.

I'm thinking of a wolf in the expansion .. I kind of like the newer looking ones. We'll see.

This isn't a rant. I'm actually laughing at myself. I've been abducted by a compulsion to tame animals. Anyone else have this compulsion? And when you tame one that just isn't right for you, you feel like a puppy just peed on your foot.

My fix for this was to take the acid spit off autocast and add it to my Steady Shot macro.

Get a cat, cat dps rocks.
A Gorrila for (AoE) grinding.
A Scorpid for PvP (lolpvp >.>).
And a wasp in case you are doing a 10-man without a druid for FF. (same armor pen)

And a 5th vanity coolness pet.

Oh yeah, and dont bother speccing 51 into BM, it's pointless.
Exotics arent that good, they're just cool and the 4 bonus points are near useless.

Personally I'll be rolling with a Tiger.

As a Wind Serpent obsessed hunter, I suggest you try a Wind Serpent. =D

As a cunning pet it has a few more survivability talents, though its racial skill is not especially useful for PvP, and it's smallish, graceful, and comes in just about every color and two different models. (Pretty!) Plus, its Lightning Breath has been fixed so that it doesn't move back to range to cast.

Hehe, I'm currently leveling that particular wolf. My buddies think it's funny when I dismount (Orc Hunter, Wolf Mount) and my pet appears to walk out from under me. :) Though, I guess it makes sense to have a ferocious beast that also serves as a ride :P

I've been taming and trying pets as something to do until the XP pack. Don't feel bad I'm right there with you. I got the ramparts wolf but decided he was too boring. I kept him in the stable though.I love the mechanics on the Gorrilla but really can't convince myself I actually liek him as a pet. I tried a bear but I don't like any of the colors. So far my Grey Wolf that howls at the moon is still my Fav. :D I figure he should be fine for leveling.

I might actually bump up his armor and stam a bit to make him more hybrid like than pure DPS as he is speced now. The gaurd dog threat talent of the tenaciity pets sure is nice solo though. See? I still can't decide. XD

Yes. I'm with you. I'm there. Hunters may need therapy after this. :P

I like the steady shot/macro fix thing for the worms. I may try that.

I did get the ramparts wolf, and I have the mount .. so that's cool.
I have a matching nether ray with a mount as well.

So far only my cat and my gorilla are definitely staying with me.
