Charm of swift flight nerfedFollow

It now simply reduces mana cost of swapping to bird form by 115 mana - useless!!! >_<

this is part of the whole "no more items that boost mount speed after 70" thing.

They have to pay tallent points for them and I might also point out that ferals are (for the moment) also keeping thier own run speed buff for lion form.

I can't believe it took me this long to see the "damn they shoulda coulda" connection between this thread and the other thread about how SFF is now purchasable via trainer.

I'm fine with making it so you can buy swift flight form to eliminate the the problem of future druids having to complete a quest in an old-school dungeon nobody wants to run anymore. But they shoulda left the trinket you get from the quest as it was so those druids who did (or still do) complete the chain get the fancy go-faster trinket.

That would have differentiated "old school" and "purist/lore-conscious" druids from everybody else by giving them a somewhat meaningful reward without punishing everybody else by depriving them of something seriously valuable.

I think it's pretty obvious we're within days of WLK when two threads about flying are staying popped to the top like this. : )

Let me clarify my post, I have nothing against making SFF trainable, you gotta pay for the x-pac to do it.

I just wanted something to show besides 115 mana off from an equipment slot. But either way I will still love my druid :)

From what I understand, riding crop does not increase flying speed in flight form, be it regular or swift.

riding crops (and the skybreaker whip) never increased speed in any of the flight forms. thats why the charm was added; to give druids a means of increasing speed in their "mounted" flying form. hence, the change to the charm is consistent with what they are doing for the skybreaker whip and riding crops.
