Well with WotLK coming out this week I decided to start messing around with level 80 builds for PvP and PvE for balance druids. So feel free to add in your 2 cents about my talents or come up with builds for feral and restoration.

Moonkin PvE: 55/0/16 Was mainly going for mana conservation and spell hit. I was debating whether to but my last 3 points into Moonfury or Lunar Guidance. I went with LG because affects all damage spells though it potential is based on gear, while Moonfury boosts only Starfire, Moonfire, and Wrath.

Moonkin PvP: 57/0/14 This was difficult for me. I found myself making tough choices to get what I wanted. Still this build came up more or less how I wanted it to focusing on damage and anti-pushback talents.

In my opinion, lose the 3/3 Eclipse and put it into 3/3 Celestial Focus. Personally the 3% haste is better than watching your procs like a hawk. I would give more reasons but there is a whole thread on Eclipse.

Also you'd probably want to lose Intensity just because you're mana regen is much like a pally now so you're crit rate is much more important to your mana regen. You could put that into Moonfury which is an increase in damage which is your ultimate goal as a boomkin.

Now, for pvp!

This is the build I would use here.

Reason being is I found brambles is absolutely amazing now. I was watching my treants in pvp crit for 1000 on warriors. So imagine what it will do to those little annoying arcane mages. Imp Moonkin Form isn't particularily any good when all your pvp gear lacks spirit and the haste isnt that necessarily important to everyone, pvp is more about you than anything else.

Balance of Power and Moonfury is a must because it's an increase in damage and lessens the chance people can dispel your dots and you're getting 4% chance to hit w/o sacrificing gear and gems.

Pick up Eclipse because if you lead with Starfire and you proc off your wrath Eclipse you're going to be pushing out more damage.

If you do all of this, you're going to end up going 2/3 into Nature's Focus so you're pushback is going to be a little less but your damage output is much much higher.

Also, with 3/3 brambles watching rogues stun themselves to death is absolutely hilarious. Plus, your thorns will kick back decent amount of damage. With 1000 or so spell power mine will hit for roughly 170.

Thats my .02 cents!

Edit: Balance of Power is not Nature's Reach. Why I thought it gave range instead of lesser chance to dispel, who knows.

for pve, if you are skilled then definately pick up 3/3 eclipse, at 80 in T7 its shown as a 300+ DPS increase.
you probably wont need intensity or dreamstate as a raid boomkin.

Yeah, I noticed this from the other thread. Imp Moonkin you may very well want to use it now.

Definately take 3/3 in Moonfury for any balance spec.

Actually, I still wouldn't spec imp moonkin now that I've thought about it. Perhaps I fail at finding it, but thats just the resto pvp gear not the balance pvp gear. So my original comment stands.
