I know that the expansion comes out in a few days. But im looking to grind BG's until then to get a few pieces of armor. Im wondering what a good destro spec is atm for BG's. I've been using affliction and my dots aren't doin anything due to people dying too quickly from other classes. So if anyone has a destro build they've been using it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

hey man,you have few variations of destro build, let me link you few good ones
First, this is fairly common sl/destro build, feel free to shift points from Emberstorm to Backdraft the way you see fit.

If you want Chaos Bolt this is ok build.

If you want to try out Succy and new insta-seduce this will maybe work ok,you have one spare point to put in fel dom or soul-link.

Imo,these days in BG destro is the way to go!
Cheers

As far as I've seen, burst is definitely the way to go in bgs right now - and destro definitely would hit that for you. As destro, though, you'll be running with the succubus or voidwalker out more than anything (if your battlegroup is anything like mine - it'll be voidwalker 90% of the time). The insta-seduce spec seems very appealing to me, personally, but soul link is also very important for any type of PvP. From what I understand, though, Fire and Brimstone is really not worth it in any spec; I'd go with a 0/11/50 spec for now, and pick up Chaos Bolt at 71. But if you want Chaos Bolt, I'd likely go 5/5/51 (extra Corruption dmg and hp).

One thing you ought to note, though, ALWAYS have a healthstone ready. And you'll be farming shards like nobody's business, because Soul Fire gets you some sweet crits. However, also remember that there's no dispel protection, so be careful when you get those Backdraft/Backlash procs they can be dispelled - and Immolate is also susceptible to dispels so Conflag can be hard to get off. Still, Shadowfury is your best friend as destro. Best for interrupts and getting away from melee (and getting away from melee is GOOD).

I admit that I often miss obvious points. I don't see why the VW is good in BGs. They hit like kittens. Is it for the sac? No, that would take 21 pts in Demo to get, and after patch, not seem that worthwhile. I've seen your posts before, and I know that you know what you are doing. So, what am I missing?

The VW Sac is different from the Demonic Sacrifice ability granted by the Demo tree. It is a pet ability that he receive no matter your spec. You can improve it with the Demo tree, and get a near instant cast VW with Demo tree, but for the shield sac, you don't need a single point in Demo.

Why to run with a VW in bgs? Because of Suffering, pure and simple. In a pinch, Sacrifice is nice, but the VW is like an extra DoT (and does cause a little pushback), but bgs have the evil nemesis of warlocks: the melee classes. 10% reduced chance for someone to hit means there is the potential of a missed Kidney Shot or Stormstrike or Mortal Strike or Crusader Strike or Mangle (is that all of the big ones?), and it's really helpful when they miss.
