Ok I'm switching from 51/10 to 50/11 tonight and my question is with the pet talents. I have my cat at 69 and wondering what the best talent point to be used would be for him. I'm so used to the 4 extra points I feel like I'll be losing a lot. Please help and thanks. :)
I was thinking of this

You dont lose too much
a 5 min cooldown ability and 6% crit, but in return you get 1/2 Go for the Throat, wich gives a crapload more dps.

I'm currently using yours and I've been thinking very hard about switching to what Aethien just posted.

Your pet has alot more survivability with Bloodthirsty, and w/o it I've been having issues with pet happiness. You have to feed him constantly, and if you have to combat rez your pet during a boss fight you are typically stuck with a pet fighting below maximum happiness for the rest of the encounter.

As he said, you aren't really giving up much taking two points out of Spider's Bite.

Thanks Aethien. That was the biggest thing I was worried about losing, cause I really hate feeding my pet. Plus I'm used to leveing with my gorilla so sometimes I treat my cat like he can do these things and he dies a lot....poor Fuzzytard.

Mine is very similar to Aethien's

I haven't come across any bosses that justify having 2 points into bloodthirsty. My pet is in frenzy almost 100% of the time, so it's attacking so fast that it rarely drops in health at ALL during boss fights. The only fight I've had any problems with is phase 2 of Illidan, but 1 phase of 1 easy boss isn't worth it to me.

When I'm out grinding, I'm usually using my Gorilla, but if I do have my cat, nothing even scratches it.

Is avoidance really necessary if you don't raid and barely enter instances? 90% of my time is questing as I rarely have the time to enter an instance. Instead, I've been leaning towards this build starting off at 70:

If you're raiding, you really want avoidance, and then to get rabid is an obvious move. Without the raid damage, it's probably fine to go either path, heart of the phoenix is nice for letting you take on tougher mobs.

I mostly instance with guildies and haver never PUGed, but if I ever want to at least I know its there. Thats the biggest thing to me. But I noticed you dont have dash. I love dash especially in the Isle cause some of those people claim so fast that dash helps me claim the erratic sentries or the stupid nagas that are impossible to find sometimes.

@ Project, You've got a good point. Your build is better :)

Nah, but Rabid is about a 10% increase in pet dps so it's worth sacrificing a bit for.

Not that it'll matter all that much though, in 5 days WotLK is released and all we'll be thinking off is lvl 80.

I like charge over dash just for the immoblize effect and its on a shorter cooldown. Though if you don't put any points into stamina then you might as well get dash to enable you to get out of tier 1. Thats how I look at it anyway.
