I lost my chance yto gt my felhunter because I didn't know that "read" the tome meant to right click it during the summons circle thing so no felhunter never showed up. Now the ratchet guy wants to see a slain felhunter instead of the Tome. After no help from Bliz, I abandoned it , destroying the Tome and now I can't get started again because they all think I've already done it.

I already did the abandon quest thing (destroying the Tome of the Cabal at the same time)but now the guy in ironforge who originates the quest doesn't have it available for me.
Try seeing if there's a warlock trainer elsewhere (Stormwind, maybe) that will give you the quest. Otherwise, call a GM if you've tried abandoning it.

Been there done that too. Can't reaquire it anywhere. Bliz mail help wasn't worth anything. Maybe if I auctally talked to someone. I need the felhunter and it doesn't seem right that I had to destroy all the work I went to to get to the circle. Even though I abandoned it the guy in Ratchet is still looking for a slain felhunter in my bags.
Ok so here's the deal. The quest you're working on is this:

What you need to do is, when the NPC makes the summoning circle, use the tome to summon the Felhunter. Kill the Felhunter (just like you did for the voidwalker and the succubus) and voila! Quest complete. The quest NPC is indeed in Ratchet with the warlock trainers there. The NPC should give you the item before he summons the circle. You yourself need to summon the Felhunter using the book.

Yes I got all the way to the circle but didn't right click the Tome , so no Felhunter showed up. Now the ratchet guy wants to see a slayed felhunter and he couldn't care less about the tome. My only alt was to abandon and start over, but now I can't get the quest from anyone.
Bro,if you really can't get quest again open a ticket (go to social menu,from there you'll menage,cant open wow atm) ask GM,explain problem you have,if it's really bugged or something they WILL help you.
I ask you to trust me on this one,you WILL NOT be lock without felhunter.
Try to abandon whole quest line,from the start,then try to do it again if possible,if you know that you cant your only option is to call help from GM to sort it out.
One way or another,you'll get your felpuppy

Well,I've opened two tickets and all I get are stock answers which tell me that a real person is not reading the ticket. I haven't called and talked personally with anyone , but that might be next. BTW,why don't they just say right click the Tome book while in the circle. Read the Tome didn't mean a thing to me, so I stood there looking stupid waiting for a Felhunter that never showed up. Now I'm doomed either way. I had to destroy the Tome to abandon the quest. Now everyone in the whole chain of this quest thinks that I've already completed it.
More than likely, that's because all tickets are kind of being glossed over, as there are MANY bug reports going in recently (I've gotten stock responses on all but one of my bug reports, and only to tell me I have to "re-achieve" Direbrewfest next year, even though I already have drops from this year). I would instead post on the official boards (should they ever be up, at any rate) in most likely the Bug Report forum.

I can't tell you how frustrating this is , to go to all the work to get the Tome, finally get to the circle and then have to give it all up and not be able to reaquire it.

Maybe I'll just make him into a Death Knight and forget this warlock thing.
