So, not the best quality or very instructional (I should probably have done a voice over or somethin'). But.... Kil'jaeden kill from a rogue perspective video. Not the prettiest kill, but dead boss is dead.

Honestly, aside from staying out of bad stuff, it's not that intensive for melee really. At least, not compared to Twins or M'ruu. Just have to keep damage uptime while running to and from the shield and cloak the fire debuffs.... easy!

Cheers all.

Thanks for the kind words. Yup, I'm raiding as Mutilate (w/MP) and lovin it. Once you get past the learning curve, it's much more immersive and involved.

:D

Poison hit cap is 214 without 5/5 precision so yeah mutilate miss more. But according to spreadsheet after that cap agility is better than hit rating.

BTW: I specced to mutilate few times and I enjoyed that talent build. Keeping HfB is sometimes annoying but it is a lot of fun to play as mutilate. Probably at 80 lvl I will go for mutilate. Now I am mutialte (pvp build, my guild don't raid now, we are waiting for WotLK and we will focus on 10man raids) but for leveling I will probably spec combat. Maybe if I would have better daggers or I wouldn't have badge fists then maybe I will level up as mutilate. Sorry for off-topic. :P

Misses happen. The stat focus moves from hit to agi for mutilate builds, so you do have many more misses. But the DPS comparisons (both spreadsheet and dummy tests) confirm that I'm doing better as mutilate than combat as long as I can keep the timers up (SnD, HfB, Rupture, in that order).

Anywhoo... here's the WWS from that first nights worth of wipes and the kill that I recorded. DPS average is just over 2200 for KJ but keep in mind that you lose a decent amount of uptime to collapses. Just keeping up SnD is tricky and I found HfB impossible at certain points (even once lost it to a GCD to Cloak a fire bloom, /facepalm). By comparison in the same gear I top 2800 practical output for Brutallus (source here).

With the new dagger and specing out of MP to TtT, I'm hoping to edge closer to 3k tonight but we'll see.

Question: would a voice over be helpful at all, or a waste of time?

For most people, probably a waste of time. But I am a relative newbie and when I watch most of these videos I hear pounding music and watch a low-res guy all jumping and flailing about. So I would find a voice over useful to point out the stuff 95% of the people here probably already know. So if you have a bunch of time on your hands, sure. Otherwise most likely a waste.

Make a voice-over ala Mystery Science Theater 3000.
