A mix of buffs, nerfs and things we all ready knew about.

The Tigers Fury thing must be for level 80 balancing, I am not in beta so I have no idea about that one. Still leaves me unsure as we have know scaling issues, largely due to feral AP and the resultant lack of weapon damage scaling.

The Growl CD reduction is cool, I like it a lot.

Earth and Moon was know for a bit as mmo-champion has very accurate talent calculators.

The Eclipse one I missed, even looking at the tree. They are really pushing it on us. I think they may buff it till it actually becomes good enough to make up for having to proc watch like a proc hawk.

Moonfury is good as gives balance folks more points to play with, possibly for Eclipse? I really think they are going to push it on us and they have been buffing it consistently.

The AoE infinite mana exploit was fixed with this patch. No more AoEing up to a full mana bar. :(

The PI change is old news. More of a we fixed the tool tip thing than a change.

Tree of life has more armor now. Must be a PvP thing as the tree was not to common in PvP before as it screamed kill me now please. The armor will help survival and reduce the need to spec feral for, well anything really.

Any thoughts, opinions or corrections?

Druids

* Druid talents points have been refunded. Players will need to visit a class trainer to relearn spells and abilities.
* The Swift Flight Form is now available on the trainer at level 71, requiring 300 riding skill, and Flight Form learned.
* Bash: The interrupt from this ability will now work on targets that are immune to the stun.
* Berserk: Now clears the cooldown on Mangle Bear.
* Earth and Moon and Moonfury (Balance) reduced from 5 ranks each to 3 ranks each.
* Eclipse: Buff duration extended to 15 sec and bonuses doubled. The cooldown has been increased to 40 seconds.
* Growl: Cooldown changed to 8 sec.
* Insect Swarm: Tooltip corrected to indicate it does not affect hit chance with spells.
* (*) Moonkin: Only single target spell critical strikes can trigger the mana gain from this talent.
* Nature’s Swiftness: This ability will no longer give chances to trigger Omen of Clarity.
* Omen of Clarity: Will no longer be triggered by the Honorless Target buff gained when entering the world.
* Survival Instincts will no longer be on the Global Cooldown.
* Swiftmend: now benefits correctly from Genesis talent.
* (*) Tiger’s Fury: Ranks 5 and 6 have had their damage bonus decreased.

Yeah free repsec.

Berserk change is sweet and needed. Same deal with the Bash and Survival Instincts changes.

The rest were mostly summed up in the pre-(non-spelling) edit.

whonder what the chance is? but yeah most that stuff is old news i was expecting alot of it last tuesday.

i do have to say eclipse is looking nice put scrolling text on and on have it for buffs then you wont have to watch it as much. 30% more crit will be nice seeing i got up to 24% lastnight, with out moonkin form. i just need more spell power.

I think i'll be doing something like

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=0xGbhiIsIdIVhRh

left out the 2 points where it is now reduced down to 3 instead of 5.

Do you think this mean we will lose swift flight form until level 71 ???

Guess we'll find out after maint in finished.

Most likely it will just mean that those who didn't get Heroic Sethekk before the x-pac won't have to do the quest, just train it and go. I guess I'll spec back into Eclipse and do some more testing. :P

Okay, with the free respec and my druid just dinging 70 yesterday (Yay me!), I'm curious as to how i should use my talent points. I'm focusing on feral dps right now, until I get a good set of feral gear and a good set of balance/resto gear, then I might respec.

Would this great community once again be willing to give me some advice? My current build for dps works, but it might need some improvement.

Hmm, now I have four more talent points to allocate in the balance tree.... Will I use eclipse? Or go back into Typhoon, Gale Winds and Starfall?

Looks like Eclipse loses. I'm sorry but being able to do 1800-2k single target dps with just kara/za/badge gear, and some goodies from BT and Kael I think I'll be able to augment my spec so I can now be an aoe freak as well.

Figure I'd post this here then start yet another thread.

Upcoming Feral changes (Source)

Quote:
ARMOR
We are changing the way bear armor works so that bonus armor on items does not receive the bear armor multiplier. Specifically this means that trinkets, rings, necks and cloaks with bonus armor will not be multiplied by the bear bonus. The normal armor on leather will still be multiplied by this bonus. We are also going to remove bonus armor from Feral staves. You’ll get your bonus armor from the leather you acquire.

Examples:
1) A ring that grants 100 bonus armor will now grant a bear 100 armor (not ~470 armor).
2) Leather legs with 253 armor will still grant a bear ~1190 armor (not 253 armor).
3) A feral staff will now grant 0 armor.

We are making this change because armor is such a good stat for bears that it makes taking pieces with bonus armor a non-decision and we don’t want acquiring these pieces, which tend to not be common, to be so much of a barrier to a druid who wants to tank a raid.

This change will NOT be in effect when Lich King ships. We are letting you know this now so that you don’t go through heroic efforts to acquire items like the Badge of Tenacity, or Defender’s Code. Defender’s Code, with 850 armor, will still be a good trinket. But it won’t be an insanely good trinket for a bear.

We will adjust the bear armor modifiers so that your net mitigation does NOT go down with these changes. Let me repeat: this is not a nerf to Feral armor. It is a change to the amount of armor you get from gear with bonus armor.

MANA
We are adding an effect to a deep Feral talent (something like Primal Tenacity) to further reduce the cost of shapeshifting into cat or bear by 50%. This talent will stack with Natural Shapeshifter for a total cost reduction of 80%. PvP-focused druids can get both talents to shift easily and often despite, no longer having Int on gear at level 80.

PROTECTOR OF THE PACK

We are removing the group requirements from this talent. The new tooltip will say: “Increases your attack power by X and reduces the damage you take in Bear Form and Dire Bear Form by Y.” The values of X and Y themselves are not changing.

Again, these changes will NOT be in Nov 13 for Lich King’s launch. We will add them in a patch that will come out sometime before the major Ulduar content patch. We're letting you know now so that you can choose quest rewards and loot drops accordingly.

interesting buffs to feral. echoes of the old original primal instincts in there. thats a good thing i think.

as for eclipse, i like it. its also pretty easy to proc watch it, as its got a really neat animation (a little sun comes over your head and gets eclipsed by a moon).

The changes to bear armor sound interesting. Really like the thought of having more gear choices. Would have been awesome back in my feral days had I been able to use Gladiator's Maul or something rather than Braxxis while grinding up reputation for Earthwarden without feeling bad for it. Guess it also means that there won't necessarily have to be 2 weapons for cat and bear form. Good stuff.
