I have to say sorry to the DPS Paladins, and Again they take away some nice damage to please the rest of the whiners that cant beat you all down.
To watch you all in any BG and Arena with that Burst damage was a sight to see.
I miss my Pally and my old skool Wrecking Bomb, if you all know what that is then I dont need to say more. I feel for you all and I hope they change there minds in leaving you're class alone. To be Honest, I think its BS thay they give that damage and then take it away from you.

The problem is that most of the nerfs that are already live do nothing to slow down ret's damage, but instead ***** with prot and holy.

And then some of the changes coming up are actually going to increase ret's DPS.. lower crit damage, but more overall, and a DoT.

The worst change so far is that you can't use Divine Shield and Avenging Wrath within two minutes of eachother. Sure, that limits a tactic a ret can use to kill someone with no chance of retaliation every 5 minutes, but it also means that a Holy pally just about can't use AW.. and if a prot paladin opens a boss fight with it, they can't Divine Protection if something goes wrong soon after.

These nerfs aren't even thought out.

Yea, changing wings back to forbearance was dumb. Yea, it fixed the problem with Ret, but as you said it now screws with Prot/Holy. Been a couple times already I've been hurt (as a tank) with Forbearance begin up after I hit wings ... They really should come up with a different solution.

And all these new changes that will be going live soon hurt Prot/Holy even more. All Seals are being nerfed. It was my understanding that Prot was fine and Holy was thought to be needing buffs, but now they are suffering from the Ret nerf. Granted it's not huge, but it is still misguided.

I'm in agreement, especially after speccing Ret for a while for some PvP, that Ret needed to be toned down. I've said in another thread, my gear pretty much sucks (1 PvP ring, that's it), but I was rocking people with even Season 3 gear 1 on 1. So yea, Ret needed to be toned back down, but not at the expense of the other specs ...

Most hotfixes are pretty bad. They are knee-jerk reactions that have to keep changing (because they were bad decisions). I figure that Blizz will have this figured out some time in 2009.

In the meantime, we'll live with the screwy things they've dealt us (as we always have), and move forward. There are still so many cool things that Blizzard has done with the patch, and WotLK coming out, that these minor nerfs are no real biggie. It's not like they are class/spec destroyers. I'm guessing that Blizz will do some other changes to fix these fixes in the near future.

Honestly, I'm more pissed that the Libram of Souls Redeemed will now affect Holy Light. I DE'd my Blessed Book of Nagrand. Now, I'll be stuck without any Libram that affects Flash of Light.../cry. :) Of course, all will be obsoleted shortly...lol

Something I learned early on in this game (the hard way, of course) - you never destroy, vendor or DE a Libram, until it's way way way out of date. As an example, I'll be holding on to both the Librams you mentioned on all my Paladins (even those speced for Ret & Prot) until level 80, and possibly beyond.

Almost any other gear has a rough equivalent in terms of relatively easy or achievable replacement, except for Librams. I have a partial bag in each Paladins bank where they file away Librams they don't use often.

Update - I opened a ticket, and next thing I know, the Blessed Book is back in my bags :) Thank you Blizzard!
