standard fire build?Follow

Is this the new standard fire build?

I'm really missing PoM and the silence talent... is there an equivalent 21/40/0 build nowadays that's viable? Or is everyone "strongly encouraged" to get the frosty goodness in the third talent tree, thereby making it harder to do lots of nifty things?

Thanks

Not really, no.

I wouldn't recommend it unless you're so hard up for hit(and sans boomkin/shadowpriest). I'd highly recommend 11 points in Arcane for Focus Magic/Arcane Concentration at this point.

The purpose is important. If you are in a 25 man raid you can probably bypass the frost elemental precision for the extra spell hit. If you are running 5 or 10 man you should probably spec into that which means you can't effectively spec into fire and get the focus magic talent.

If this is for Wrath leveling, spec what is fun for you. Personally i'm going frost because that is what I found works best for me with leveling. Once I hit 80 it will probably be fire unless something happens with the Arcane talents.

Hey there

The hit cap is very importend but if u are raider then there are 3 sort of firemages the 11/51/0 Where u get the Focus magic the 0/51/10 where u get the icy veins and then full fire but i am the icy Veins type and hit from frost.
