So I think Priest is my absolute favorite...Follow

I have no experience with any class over 20(aside a 22PLD) besides my Priest, but it's durability is quite astounding.
While my point build is likely heavily retarded(Disc/Holy/Shadow! lol) it seems to do very well for me right now.
With the +Inner Fire defense and +Holy damage, I've been able to take on a lot of crazy stuff.

Most recent, and proud accomplishment, was I just solo'd the Summoning the Princess(Group) quest at level 46. The recommended level is 50 with two people, but I didn't feel like shouting in UC forever hoping to get someone so I tried it alone.

It was intense. I pre-buffed PW:Shield, Inner Fire, and PW:Stamina. Got full MP/HP and summoned. Tossed on PW:P, Plague, and Holy Fire/Mind Blast/Smite. If you've done this, you know she spawns a TON! of elementals, all about 45+. Tossed out a total of two Fears and used both Renew(full points), Lifeblood(rank4) Desperate Prayer and a single Greater Healing Potion and my sliver of HP let me fire the kill-shot of a Holy Fire.(I died right after. Damn elementals!)
But all in all, it was FUN! I can't wait to try more group things solo :)

Please, post any solo Priesting you've done that made you go "Woah. FUN!"

Priests are awesome. Mine is definitely my main. We have a nice variety of spells to match just about any situation.

Last night we went into Old Hillsbrad, heroic, to grab Don Carlos' Famous Hat, which summons a coyote spirit companion. While we were there, we ran the instance. It's been nerfed quite a bit, but in heroic, I had a bit more chance to actually heal. We had a blast.

I also enjoy helping with some group quests, like ring of blood, or Zuluhead the wacked. I don't normally do pugs for instances, but I'll often help pugs with group quests when I'm in an area.

I've played every other class to at least 20, most higher, most several times. I've had druid, priest, and mage make it over 50, and druid and priest make it to 70.

I don't play any other classes any more. I kept my 70 druid because I feel a certain loyalty to her, but other than that, I don't even have any other classes any more. My login screen shows me that one druid followed by four priests (main priest, spare priest, Alliance priest, and bank alt. Yes, even my bank alt is a priest). Solo efficiently? DPS? Heal? Get out of sticky situations? Anything they can do my priest can do better. Okay, not tank. Well, but hey. Hmmm... Smiley: dubious(Goes to work on her priest tanking build.)

It's not that any class is better than any other, but I do think there is probably one that is better for a given individual. It's a great thing when you find your class.

I agree with teacake.. priest is definently my class.. and i've allways held the asperation to become a priest tank! still working on it, but hey.. heals do get massive aggro!

I just had the mental image of a Priest just standing there, healing him/herself up while keeping the boss aggroed through the heal-threat only... It was fun for about five seconds, and then the Priest suddenly turned into a red smear on the ground, quickly followed by the rest of the squishies. That was fun for about 30 seconds.

Then I dismissed the entire idea and went back to real life. Or real WoW in any case...

There actually used to be a priest tanking build on Wowwiki =P. Looks like it's gone now though.

I know of people who's put together tanking sets for priests. Get uncrittable and then stack dodge while maintaining high spell power, using only DoT's and SWD for aggro holders, and they use Shield + Blast as another boost. I know of people tanking every normal instance, a handful of heroics, as well as tanking certain mobs in SSC/TK. Granted, this was some months ago, you probably couldn't pull it off as well now since tanks got so much extra threat output.
