welcome back.typical rotation when soloing would be pounce, mangle, shred, shred, then close with rip if lots of HP left,or FB if it'll finish 'em off.there's zero reason to have claw on your bar once you get mangle, because mangle costs the same and does a lot for you.for doing DPS in an instance it's pretty much the same deal but you'll want to get faerie fire in there for the armor debuff, and you'll almost always be ripping as the finisher to max your damage.cat form is good for fighting one or two mobs when you're solo because they'll die very fast.more than that bear form is better for the survivability.bear form is also the form you'll use if you ever tank an instance.you want tips?first would be to learn and practice shifting into the appropriate form for a given fight.second would be to learn how to put a spaces after punctuation marks and capitalize the first letter of sentences.it'll just make your stuff a lot easier to read so people will be more likely to help without being a smartass about it like me.breaking text into paragraphs for different ideas wouldn't hurt either.i know,i know, regulars: "stop being so harsh this isn't the rogue form."sorry couldn't resist.

Welcome back! Here's the same answer I gave above with a little formatting to show what a difference it can make. Don't let me scare you off, I'm not really a **** in real life, both I and others here will generally be very helpful with advice and answer, we (maybe just I, but I don't think so) just appreciate it when people put a little effort into making their posts readable. : ) (see I put a smiley face, so clearly I'm not all bad)

A typical rotation when soloing would be pounce, mangle, Shred, Shred, then close with rip if lots of HP left, or FB if it'll finish 'em off. There's zero reason to have claw on your bar once you get mangle, because mangle costs the same and does a lot for you. For doing DPS in an instance it's pretty much the same deal but you'll want to get faerie fire in there for the armor debuff, and you'll almost always be Ripping as the finisher to max your damage.

Cat form is good for fighting one or two mobs when you're solo because they'll die very fast. More than that bear form is better for the survivability. Bear form is also the form you'll use if you ever tank an instance.

Hopefully I get the usual "at least you answered the question" pass I usually get when I'm being kindava jerk (damn had to edit this because it changed what I put first into "Richard."

Compared to Theo, we're all a bunch of carebears. That doesn't make him wrong, just an ***.

For the most part I agree with the rotation that JeeBar mentions. My only comment is that I can't get two Shreds in. I typically get a Pounce, Mangle and Shred in then the mob turns so I can't get another one in. Since the patch I now added Rake to the rotation. For a finisher I agree that at level 52 use Rip unless it will finish the mobs off. FB does a lot of damage but also uses up all your Energy.

As a finisher I now use FB more often because I follow with Tiger fury giving me 60 Energy back. I put three point in KofJ.

Yeah, you can only get the second Shred in if you have the Brutal Impact talent to extend the stun of your Pounce, AND if you get an Omen of Clarity proc. You used to be able to time your opening move just before an energy tick which reduced its cost by 20 energy, but now that energy doesn't tick anymore that doesn't work. : (
