ok How much +hit do we NEED? if I read (and remember correctly) the wiki page the goal is to get 12% hit on your tool tip and at min 9% for your yellow damage to get thru, but how does this translate into +hit?

its actually 9% for druids in a raid setting, 5% vs even level mobs.

as for the actual hit rating number, its about 79-80 for the 5%, and i think 110-120 for the 9% hit.

142 hit rating for 9%, unless merging hit rating and spell hit rating did something screwy I haven't noticed.

Edit: This is for level 70, not sure what our hit cap will be at 80.

Edit 2: Apparently, it's around 296 hit rating for 9% hit. From wowwiki. 32.78 rating for 1 % x 9 is 295.02.

From the Elitist Jerks Combat Ratings thread

Level 80 Combat Ratings and Stats

Note that the following data are only verified correct for build 3.0.1.8970 (9/23/08), and may change during beta testing.

Build 8962 changes:
1. Mana regen from Spirit nerfed at level 71 to 80, at level 80 the amount of regen is nerfed to about 78% of the original value.
2. Players lower then level 34 will now convert resilience ratings at the same rate as level 34 players.

Useful for working out various caps. +hit should be pretty easy for us to get as rogues need about 919 +hit to be capped against bosses :)

no, i think youre right, i was just basing my numbers off of what i would see on my warriors sheet whenever i was specced 1h DW fury with precision, and i forgot to factor in precision.

Well, I knew ~12 spell hit rating was 1% for spells, and ~16 hit for melee before. I wasn't sure if merging the two changed those values, and I've been leveling alts so I haven't looked at my druid's sheet lately. RareBeast grabbed the values worked out by EJ, so it looks like nothing screwy happened.

I'm going to slightly go off topic but in regards to kittie dps(pvp), I have a question.

With the change to maim and how we can stunlock players/mobs now. Would it be wise to stay in cat and keep building up CP for another maim or switch to bear for a quick bash then back into cat and try for another maim/finish em off?

I can kill most classes now except mages(iceblock) and palidens(bubble). I am mostly bear spec and infected wounds helps a lot with kiting warriors. I also just received my second piece of T4, as much as having the 4 piece set bonus for pvp, should I suffer without it for the 2t4?

as far as my rotation goes, it's pounce, manglex2, rake--->maim

thanks pabby

i...wouldnt. pounce and bash share DR, so youre bash duration is going to be halved in all likelihood. if you can delay the bash until after the pounce stun DR wears off (possible, if a bit tough at times) then yes, that can be a good combo to use.

i know ya'll are talking about melee hit cap but wasnt spell hit cap 152 with balance of power?? i looked on wowwiki and it said 164 now.
#10 Nov 03 2008 at 5:38 PM Rating: Good
You used to need 16% spellhit (Vs bosses) and there was always a 1% chance to miss with spells no matter how much +hit you had. Now they have removed that 1% so you need 17% but you will never miss now.

thanks rare thats what i was thinking but wasnt really sure. i just glanced at the wowwiki chart didnt read it all. went back a few hours ago now and grazed the chat and saw that it was removed lol.
