How many points in Master of Deception?Follow

#1 Oct 29 2008 at 6:13 AM Rating: Decent
I'm PVP'ing at level 70 and my build is still a work in progress. How many points in MOD do I need? Is there a cap at 70?

I don't think there's a stealth 'cap'.

As for how many MoD points you need, it depends on the build. Builds that are not stealth reliant can usually do with 2/3, or if you want to play it risky, 0/3. For a build including prep you will generally want 3/3 points, though in the end it all depends on what you've got.

I put 2/3 in my ShS build, 0/3 in my Combat or Mutilate builds. Doubt this tendency will change anytime soon. Good luck!

*edit: Should have noted that I'm only a casual PvP player ;)

I usually try to get 3/3, though sometimes the points just aren't there.

It's not huge, now that a lot of rogues are mutilate (i.e. no Heightened Senses), but I still like having it. It's much, much more useful than Camo.

I've been catching an absolutely retarded proportion of rogues in stealth now that everyone has rerolled to "fotm" mutilate. To the extent actually that i took Theo's spam sap macro (#showtooltip, /script setCVar etc) and made a version for Repentance to spam when i know there's a rogue about. Facing in generally the right direction seems to work. I guess Master of Deception is a really powerful talent if it helps you get the opener.

I initially took Camo over MoD. Just because I wasn't used to not having the mobility of shs.

It's hard to get used to, but MoD is way better than Camo.

I would never go without at least 1/3 camo if I could because of how useful it is to clutch 1v1. Without it, restealthing after a sap bandage is impossible, unless your opponent gets a well timed lagspike or something.
