leveling past 70 specFollow

With all the new changes and different talents I've had a tough time keeping up to date on all my 70's and the new changes available. I've heard recently that mutilate has come back into being a viable leveling spec if you have some decent daggers/fist weapons. So if that's true, is comabat sort of turned into the new mutilate in the sense that it's just not that good of a build? Plus I could use some info on a good leveling build to get me to 80 when the expansion hits. I would prefer to stay combat since I've gotten used to it; granted this was before the latest patch, plus I was finally able to get my gladiator swords a while back, and just like the look of them. So any help is much appreciated.

1. You can't use mutilate with fists weapons. Mutilate = dual daggers.
2. Mutilate is stronger now, poisons do more damage, and you don' thave to stand behind target to mutilate. I don't know exactly (and to be honest I don't care before WotLK right now) if mutilate is better than combat right now. According to spreadsheet and my gear, mutilate and combat fists builds are close in dps power. Combat is still good spec, maybe better than mutilate, maybe not but I know one thing: they are close in dps. :)
3. Stay combat for leveling. Use same build like you have right now, it will be good leveling spec. Maybe other talents would be better, maybe other spec would be better but it's just leveling. At 80 level you can change your talent build so it's really no big deal if you will put few talent points in not best talents.

But why would anyone bother to go to all that trouble only to have his work ignored by the majority of the forum?

From my personal experience, Muti and combat do about equal DPS with equally geared rogues. I'm basing this off Hyjal/BT bosses that I've done recently.

qft. ;)
Just couldn't help myself. Seriously, no good deed goes unpunished. Or so "they" say.

The "best" leveling is whichever you prefer. Stun-locking mobs isn't spec-dependent. If you're looking for what's most efficient, that's another thing entirely and from what I can tell in beta you're only very slightly better off with Combat due to energy efficiency and ease of multiple-mob killing pulls.

Im playing as muti for Wotlk, and i find myself killing mobs in cheapshot most of the time while on the isle and other places.

Im decently geared though, T5/Badge/S3 gear.
