Hey all - just dinged 70 on my lock, which is an alt for me. Have a question - what's the best tailoring set for an Affliction lock? The armory is effed but I'm pretty much 52/4/5. Right now I could make the imbued netherweave set, but would lose a lot of spellpower. I was tempted to go shadoweave with the battlecast set...but I'm still a newbie on this whole tailoring thing.

Thanks,

Basically the Netherweave set is just ye'old leveling set, mostly replaced by quest items. If you want stamina, PvP gear is the way to go. Spell-strike/Battlecast is the lvl 70 epic BoE set, a dam good one. However, Battlecast tends not to be used as Spell-strike has better stats for PvE and you'll be using..PvP gear for PvP. The patterns are a rare drop from certain raids, I think, so if you want a Spell-strike set your best bet is to ask in the Trade channel.

As for the Shadoweave, that is the set you get to make for choosing Shadow Tailoring, as almost every Warlock does. Good PvE set, will probably be replaced in around T5 content.

However, with the advent of WotLK, I wouldn't bother as Spell-strike and Shadoweave can be rather expensive.

Get Spellstrike Hood and Pants made. They will last into WotLK.

IF you can, the Robes and boots from Badges are the best available. Cloak from Prince M in Kara, wrists from bear boss in ZA or, get badge ones if that's too hard (it shoudn't be - seriously nerfed).

T4 Gloves and shoulders is what I got at the mo.

Basically - no need to tailor gear. IF you want to though - then Frozen Shadoweave (robe, shoulders, boots) is the way to go - but it's MEGA expensive.

Thank you for the info. I picked up shadow tailoring, and am farming mats for the FSW set...shouldn't be too bad. I've got a guildie that can make the battlecast stuff if needed, and will keep an eye out for the spellstrike, if that will last into WotLK.

Thanks!
