little has changed. we are better in pve, arcane is pretty strong in pvp right now with deep arcane.

11/50/0 is one of the top pve builds (raiding) right now.

I'm not sure how many other mages have tried this but Fire is amazing in PvP right now...Most people don't bother with fire for pvp but it can really destroy somebody with the new update...Instant flamestrike, knock back on Blast Wave, Living bomb, Instant pyro all own so hard....I can get up to 4 instant aoes in seconds and still have fire blast ready and arcane explosion while they take up dmg from living bomb..The amount of aoe dmg is incredible...I have topped the dmg meters in 90 percent of all my bgs and I have done pretty well in arenas as well....It might not be for everyone but the amount of options fire gives u for pvp is insane.....Arcane is great too for single target dmg and such and slow and it's more mana efficient, but fire is so much fun and so much ownage....I highly recommend trying it out to any mage.
