I am but 4 levels away from a new level 70 and this one is a druid, my new main and soon to be a dedicated healer. I have however a question that i was unable to find answers for in other posts.
In general i always assumed that up to outlands healing as non-healer spec should work out fine and in outland it might get a bit tougher, but it wouldnt require you to be resto/holy to heal the easier instances. I have just done Slave pens (lvl 65) and i am boomkin specced all the way, with +340spelldmg or so and a rather limited mana pool (5-6k or so). Healing was like a walk in the park.
So when will it actually require me to be resto specced to be able to heal? Is it heroics or shattered (normal) or kara. Of course it is gear depended, but for sake of argument assume im mostly in quest gear and some instance loot. Is it because i have played a paladin a long time i know how the instances work or is it because of wotlk talent changes that a boomkin can heal quite well?
