Hi a quick question is it worth spending the money on the epic mount before the wotlk or will there be different mounts there, also i cant remember but is there a part in BC that u can only get too with an epic mount, any info much appreciated.

Well I had too the same questions about this ...

my guess is that everytime you get a mount of whatever type you also learn a riding skill...

So basically lets say If you level from 1 to 70 without learning any riding skill and have the money to buy the lvl 70 epic then you might not be able to actually buy it.

So same applies (?) to 70 ---> 80 Content.

Mind this : I havent searched it anywhere just some though outloud. Any one has tried this to see if it works?

You still have to upgrade your riding skill from a riding trainer in order to upgrade in mounts (regular ground mount, epic ground mount, regular flier, epic flier). The gold needed to upgrade riding is MUCH more than it is to buy the mount itself. I'm only level 40, but when I bought my Kodo, I paid 35g for the riding skill, and 10g for the mount. Same price for the mount, but at level 60 the riding skill costs like... 550g approx., don't quote me on that, because I don't know for sure. I forget how much regular flying costs, but the epic flying is somewhere in the neighborhood of 5,000g. Have fun farming for it!

Jeee... 5500 nice..

Supposing I had already the 1st flying mount (1000g about) and had in bank 5500g then probably I would wait to see the expansion...

Supposing I didnt have the 1st flying mount (1000g) and had 5500 g in bank I would most definitelly buy it so that would make my money around 4500g. About the 5000g epic hm... I would wait...

Some people will say it's worth it no matter what.

I tend to agree, but if you have no gathering professions you can get by fine without one.

If you have mining or herbalism, it's a nice boost to how much gold you can earn. It feels great flying around at 280% speed, I have 2 characters with epic flying and I love it. But I also have characters without it, and yeah I miss having it, but I get by fine.

Currently it doesn't sound like theres any plans to lower the cost in WoTLK, personally I would buy one, especially if you have mining or herbalism.

I can still do 23-24 dailies without epic flying, I might save about 20 minutes doing it with epic flying, but I don't think it matters a whole lot.

Buy it. Don't think about it. Just do it.

It's definitely worth it. If it wasn't I wouldn't have 5 70's all with their epic flyers.

Probably best to either buy it if you want it or wait till 77 when you can use flying mounts in Northrend.

You may wanna save it for that WotLK Mammoth mount though. Holds you and two NPC's one for repairs and selling junk to and the other for reagents etc. You can also get rid of them and give two party members a ride. BUT, the price is 20,000g.

There's no reason to buy the Mammoth if you don't have epic flight.

Hi
Although the price is high for the epic mount. I have to agree with mental frog with this at some point.(changed my mind? -probably. Only crazy or idiots stick to one opinion and never change it)
If you got a gathering profession like mining its kinda diffucult running around outlands with the slow flying mount.
Do you have a gathering profession?
Also another point is that the epic mount is not replacable ,its not an armour that you pay for and 2 levels later you pay again for an upgrade. Its simply the best thing to carry y arround in Outland. So...

Later on when the expansion comes you may want to change your profession or return to outlands to do stuff...

Oh , I dont know.. Its hard to raise 5000g (for some people- I m one of those)

Do what you want m8. Its your money :)) .You played for hours to get the gold. There are pros and cons to it. (at the moment i tend on the opinon of getting it)

disregard my previous post.
