heres a quote from the upcoming patch notes

Quote:
Earth and Moon and Moonfury (Balance) reduced from 5 ranks each to 3 ranks each.

so that frees up about 4 points for us to use. i havent decided what im going to put them in yet (maybe eclipse, they are changing that a little as well) but what do YOU plan on putting them into?

Quote:
Eclipse: Buff duration extended to 15 sec and bonuses doubled. The cooldown has been increased to 40 seconds.

thats the changes to eclipse.. discuss.

Congrats on the moonkin love, I'll probably try a temporary owly respec one of these days to experience the love y'all seem to be getting, but I'm a furball with nothing to add specifically about these Moonkin changes, sorry. But two things in 3.0.3 caught my eye and since YOU linked the notes, your thread gets the hijack. I'm sure some of your feathery brethren will address your talent questions.

  • For us Nelf's who are growing accustomed to taking advantage of in-combat shadowmeld, the cooldown will now start on use instead of on break. Not huge, but it'll make it more frequently usable, thanks Blizz.
  • Swift Flight Form available from trainer?!? I think that's a shame, personally -- I liked getting/having to do a class quest after not having done one since the teens. And it was a good one, too, how it got into the lore and made you use your different skills. They coulda just nerfed the last step so you could do Anzu in regular Sethekk instead of requiring heroic or something, or even make the last step solo-able. Trainable? Sucks.

That reminds me, from some other recent patch, how much does it suck that the charm of swift flight got changed from a speed boost to a mana reduction? When was the last time you cared about how much mana you used shifting info flight form. I hadn't noticed until a few days ago, and banked that sucker until further notice when I did.

It would appear that some diehard Moonkin haters rated the OP down. I tossed him a rate up to bring him at least back to "Decent" because quite honestly he said nothing wrong to warrant the rate downs. I guess some people just have to spread their tiny e-peen QQing wherever they go.

lol where do you even rate people up and down?? i've had my account for years and i've never seen a spot to rate them up or down on fourms.

If you look at the top of the post, near the middle, you will see two arrows, one green and facing up, the other red and facing down. That's where people rate up/down.

you have to be a scholar or higher to be able to rate i believe. i am somewhat new to this as well just earning the status. keep good posts coming and you will get there.

if your talking about for the epic flight form, i believe the quest line will still be there to get a shot at the raven mount, but it looks like if you want to be lazy you can go ahead and just purchase it from the trainer. i was also somewhat confused by the patch notes when i saw that, we can only hope they leave it in. (about 20 sethekk runs now and no mount yet for me) if anyone finds definite info please let us know!

ah ok thanks damoonkin. i've been looking for it for awhile now but never see it lol. i just figured my account was broken or something. I never really payed attion to the karma thing. So do you have to be a schooler or something to see when your rated up and down also then??

On the rate-up side note, I rated most of you guys up simply because you are helpful and put time and effort into providing Druid/Moonkin info for all of us. I enjoy reading the Druid forums, most people here are pretty helpful. I dont post often (as my post count indicates) but I browse quite often and appreciate the insight and advice. Thanks

Pretty sure you can see when/if you're rated up or down. Just under your name on the side

<----

Should have a ranking like good, excellent, decent, default, ect. Ironically Decents the default, or neutral, whereas default (and sub-default) are bad.

Rate ups for all!

Anyway, I'm loving this whole Boomkin thing since the patch! Glad I had that offspec healing set to start me out. It's looking more and more like a Boomkin set everyday. Rocking 1k+ dps was never so easy!

Can't beat more love!

  • While I'm going to be missing it too, it's a good patch change to make. It's done to avoid the problem locks and paladins are facing currently with their land mount quests. A month after WotLK is released, how often do you think Sethekk, let alone any of the level 70 instances, will be run? It is good that they still have the quest available for those who want to experience it, rather than taking it away altogether.
