*gasp* I think I'm going to faint (feign death?). I was about to yell at you for not reading the sticky called "EVERY QUESTION ANSWERED HERE!" But as I was looking at it, I realized that a lot of it is out of date.

There isn't anything terribly useful for leveling in the first few tiers of the BM tree.

From level 10 to 20, I would actually suggest working in the MM tree getting Lethal Shots, Careful Aim and Focused Aim (in that order). Since your only specials until level 62 are Arcane and Multi, skip Mortal Shots- it won't do anything for you. After level 20, you might want to start going into the BM tree. Getting those first 10 points will give you some time to research and think about the rest of your talents. I'll just say that after 20, it may be worthwhile to put some points into Thick Hide for your pet, as it will increase your survivability as you get into tougher zones.

Do what i do, i don't follow any build as such i just read the info one each talent and compare it to my play style and pick them that way,
but for lvl'ing put some in MM and the rest in BM

Trees have changed a fair bit recently, but this is still the best resource I can suggest to someone wondering where to spend those points while leveling.

Not to bad. But bestial swiftness has always been a waist to me seeing as dash makes up for that. Most of the time I can fire and arrow as my pet is running towards him. The pet will take hate before the mob reaches me. May be different for everyone else. But all in all nice for leveling.

Dash always made up for it, yes--unless you were using a pet that didn't have Dash, and many pets didn't. With the new pet talents it isn't quite so much of an issue, but that post was written quite a while ago after all. :)

(Ever send a crab to attack something pre-3.0.2? Shuffle...shuffle...shuffle...dammit I'll just kill the thing myself. <.<)

Well, luckily any and all pets can learn dash/dive as early as level 20- a big upgrade considering that we used to have to wait until ~30 to get it. The grind from level 10-20 is really short, and it's just not worth putting points into swiftness.

And Bestial Swiftness isn't the only thing I disagree with in that article. level 40 may be when you can obtain bestial wrath, but how many of us solo grind and "Save" it for emergencies? I really, truly feel that if your main goal is to just level, having those MM points is going to benefit much more than a 2-minute cooldown.

And there's always the option to respec at 40 to get it. I really suggest taking those first few points in MM to help with the solo grind, but if you find that you enjoy running instances to level more than you like questing, getting BW might be worth the 5g respec bill... Just don't get into the habit of respecc'ing. It gets up to 50g pretty fast o_o
