Disengage buff and a PvE nerfFollow

Ghostcrawler talks hunters.

The change to disengage is a much-welcomed change. I've really come to love using it +wing clip and shadowmeld to disorient people for a second. It makes dailies a little more fun (unless there are ret pallies around, then it' impossible to have fun).

The PvE nerf is a little painful. I *like* doing insane amounts of damage. But I guess it's what they have to do to stop the QQ'ing. It's even pretty apparent that hunters in good gear at level 70 are doing too much damage. As long as the changes don't nerf us so much that we just can't top the charts anymore, I'll be fine. Blizzard has stated that since we are a pure class, we should be doing the most amount of damage, but like ghostcrawler said, rogues, mages, and warlocks can't be left behind.

Is there a good macro for wing clip and disengage? I tried to make one but it never applys the wingclip. It would be pretty nice to apply both with one hotkey. Yea, I gotta play with that and shadowmeld, thats a nice combo.

Wait, disengage blows you back?

Yes it does. It sends you back 15 ft. It's pretty helpful to get away from people. Especially when you use it on a small hill, you can turn a 15 yd jump into a 20-30 yd jump. I do miss the threat reduction, but who cares now I can use shadowmeld in combat!

Its very nice in PvP as long as you're not near a cliff.

Yes and it has an even worse detriment. If you are at the fringe of healing range, it takes you right out of it and if you use it while low on health and do this, it is a generally fatal mistake.

Use disengage with CAUTION. It can save your life or kill you!

This is what makes it better. It has a dangerous side as well as a good side. It makes it more fun to use.

I don't really see the PvE nerf as that big.. I can still pull over 1k DPS (1 100 plus change) with Tyrana, and I consider that good with the gear I have. That and the fact that I'm never EVER out-DPS:ed by anyone who doesn't grossly out-gear me. I out-DPS full epic hunters by 400-500 DPS, full epic mages (the best ones beat me with 0.1%), full epic warlocks AND full epic rogues.

I love the new disengage. Not only does it blow you back, it stops you shooting as well. I like to stand on a downhill slope and fling myself backwards. It's fun.
