Ok, I know that it's been covered SOMEWHERE I just can't find it...

My beautiful armor is gone and Def is usless exept for some sub-par +Dodge, but are the tallents still enough to deal with the armor loss?

I'm sitting at 17k armor (62% mit) and 33ish%dodge (up about 10%) and don't think (key word: 'think') that I can tank SV without a above average healer. Am I blowing this out of proportion? I sincerly hope so, I honestly hope that I get flamed for being so niave(sp?) to think like this.

Armory below. Prolly a mix of DPS and tank (still have full clefthoof + T4gloves and S2 shoulders) clicky if it helps.

yes you will be fine if you spec right i went with http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=0ZxhGsfbzctRIhzho0E . But now looking at it i would change a few points. key thing to get is protector of the pack for when grouping gives you 12% damage reduction in a full group when you go bear.

My armor did the same thing. My dodge went up I think. I eat mobs like candy.

Replace the Clefthoof set ASAP.

Drop PI for tanking, only works in cat form tooltip is out of date.

Berserk is awesome as a bear. I have had charges brought against me for the things I have done with it. Use the OoC point for this as it is more of a DPS talent.

Same goes for the full 3/3 in ImpMangle. Increased my threat generation by a butt-load. Use the points from PI for this.

Otherwise you look fine talent wise. Replace your greens using your OP tank powers.

Have fun killing ****.

I also would take out the 2 points in Brutal Impact and use them to finish up Infected Wounds. 10% reduced attack speed might not seem like much, but thats a lot of damage reduced if your taking the whole instance into account. Plus I dont see how an extra second on bash would be a life saver instance wise.

Hrmmm...I may have misunderstood the OP, so if the OP was not asking about tanking reg. Steamvaults (aka. non-heroic Steamvaults), then please disregard everything I'm about to say:

The talent suggestions in this thread here are good information overall, but you do not need a tanking spec to tank a non-heroic dungeon.

17k armor for reg Steamvaults is plenty. Any spec warrior or paladin can tank reg Steamvaults, and even with a shield they aren't going to have anywhere near your armor, their avoidance could easily be < 15% and they'll still be fine.

The whole idea of non-heroic dungeons (excluding MagT) is that they can be done without having to respec every time you want to run one. You can be out solo questing and doing your thing and go run a dungeon at the drop of a hat. Obviously, warriors and paladins are going to want to use a 1h weapon + shield, and druids are going to want to be in bear form. That's the extent of it.

Especially post 3.0.2. Non-heroic dungeon mobs are melting against at-level parties.

Heroics melt now as well. You could tank most of the beginning heroics with your gear given the state on general OPness.

And Setai I like 2/2 BI for the interrupt on a shorter CD. Especially, since the next patch will have that aspect work on non-stunnable mobs as I thought it did in the first place. (Source )

Ok, so my raging fear is set aside for now, minus the chunk of flesh taken from my arm, *swats Baron off with a kitty paw* "Hiss! back boy!".

Hvaing established that we are more powerful at tanking now (at the loss of insta-leet DPS with kitty form in the same instance) does that mean that the gear pre reqs have lowered for Tanking/(feral)DPS?

Also thank you for the advise on the talent specs.

I have experienced next to no issues with the nerf to our armor. Provided I am tank specced into Feral I run about 18.6k armor, a base health of 18.1k and a base dodge of 39%. The health and armor are significant increases over my unbuffed tanking stats pre-3.0. Just your basic buffs in a 5 man heroic will get me to 20k health and around 41% dodge which is, IMO, phenomenal. I can totally live with the reduction in our armor values which I believe was partly just there to mitigate crushing blows, which no longer exist in the game.
