To BE or not to BE?Follow

Well I look at things from a pure PvE standpoint, as I don't care much for PvP. A lot of things (though not everything) are immune to the silence, but it does give you RP. However, most specs I usually have an overabundance of RP, not a shortage, so the arcane torrent racial is largely worthless. The spell mitigation however is probably the best racial BE's have, and it's a good one, especially if you're tanking something that is a caster. However, while it's useful in that narrow instance (tanking and a caster mob), orc racials are useful in 100% of situations, ESPECIALLY since they removed the MS debuff from blood rage.

I tested all of the horde races in the DK starting area to see how much a difference there was in race, and how much I actually used/could use the racials. Every time, I kept going back to orc.

Darn, sooo tired of looking at orc butt (68 war). Oh well, you want to be the best...

This is my personal opinion of the best horde races for a DK from best to worst.

1.) Orc
2.) Blood Elf
3.) Troll
4.) Undead
5.) Tauren

troll and undead were kinda a tossup, it would depend on if you were pvp or pve oriented.

Why are undead in fourth? In terms of PvP, you're unlikely to spec far enough into Frost (at least in the builds I've seen) to get Lichborne and a fear breaker could be game breaking imo. I'd put it at about even as a silence (since DK's already have ridiculous interruption ability already) and in terms of PvE BE and Undead are dead even.

these threads make me rule out orcs and makes good cases for BE and Tuaren. Looks matter.

It's not just the new skins, i'm refering to the pics on the first page of each. One of an orc looking kinda meh and one with a BE lookin kinda badass in a final fantasy kind of way.

I saw another video somewhere of a tauren being created with black skin (or fur? I guess I never thought that one all the way out) and black horns. It looked kinda badass, too.

At this point, I can't officially say I'm going with any particular race until I get into the character selection screen. It's name will be Bonesauce, so that's one point for undead, too. The only race I've officially ruled out is trolls, so you know that's the one I'll actually end up with.

Well I always had in my head that I was gonna roll with an undead thinking it was the most fitting for the class and wotf and cannibal was good racials to have, but after looking at the pictures im kind of finding the undead to be a little to weedy looking for my liking.

The cow looks amazing in that gear but just a little tooooo big for my liking so I think im gonna go with the orc and lets face it they have pretty good racials too.
