can someone test something for me? (aegis/h-nova) :: Free Realms

so while healing a sethekk halls with my 44/xx/0 healing build (for div aegis, <3 that talent way too much lol) i noticed something weird

i would proc aegis shields off nova crits on the tank (i say the tank, because thats the only really noticeable damage intake i could think of)

and 30% of a holy nova heal crit, aegis would be about... 200 lol

now either he got lucky with avoidance because the aegis shield lasted the full duration multiple times

or maybe theres something to this...

if someone is good at testing things, maybe one of yall can do me a solid before i ask on the o-boards lol

does a [holy nova/prayer of healing/both] crit add the entire heal total together then apply the shield off that amount, or does it work off the single heal on that target

i didnt use prayer enough to notice it, and if its a bug, it might just be holy nova anyways

im not good at testing things like that (i pug everything, so when would i have 5 people in a group to do a controlled test? lol) so any help that you actually know, not assume, would be awesome

side note: damn my build and the dps upgrades for everyone made instances stupid easy... sethekk halls, no cc, no breaks... a 4 man old hills using only level appropriate people, its ridiculous right now lol

and spell power is broken :) kinda weird the best weapon i found for my style of healing is battle mage baton o.O lol

Everything is crazy-easy right now. Sub-3 minute Brut kills, clearing Heroic Ramps so fast Bloodlust wasn't up by the third boss, and someone in my guild cleared MC in under 15 minutes.

I know the warrior I group with has crazy avoidance right now, and his block rating is so high blocked attacks often land for nothing. I've had PoM on him for 15 seconds before and it won't jump because he's either purely avoiding or blocking the entire hit. My guess would be that's what's happening, but it wouldn't hurt to check.

I'd go with what Isfreak said. While Holy Nova did get a big buff (It heals for ~800 per target for me now! [without the glyph]), they probably wouldn't make it that good. I just LOVE the spell because it now heals enough to actually make it worth casting, and 2 casts generally means a guaranteed crit, which generally means a free instant Flash Heal and/or a free sped up greater heal.

ya i wasnt thinking intentional, so ill try and pay attention (perhaps if i get a shield on myself, ill figure out sw death damage and just go from there, ill let you guys know)

just maybe a computing bug, or like i said just a coincidence with avoidance

and ya, i cant believe i use holy nova now lol

its a nice splash of aoe healing when the situation doesnt call for a 1.2k prayer of healing for approx 1.5k non-crit lol

im seriously thinking about dropping my renew glyph for the nova one (and i def will if this aegis thing actually is true, i wanna figure it out so bad lol)

Putting in the nova glyph means I'd be on 1.1K per person of Holy Nova. That actually makes it a worthy reckonable AOE. And since it still dÃ³es damage it can still crit and proc my talents.

Getting ideas here...
