Anyone else notice that you don't lose all your mana when you LoH?

Bug?

You mean they intend to keep it?

I really like it. Getting full health and no mana is often enough to get you out of trouble, but Getting both the health and mana is a huge improvement. It's will have actually use in groups.

As a tank - it's actually going to be a legit tool. Before - without mana, you just couldn't tank anymore...

It's now mana-free with a 20 minute CD. Talented down to 16, with glyphs for both increasing the mana restored by 20%, or giving the mana restored to your target to you also.

I'm wondering what happens with that glyph and casting it on yourself..

It wouldn't even matter if it did drain your mana. The new BoSanc means you'd get it all back in about thirty seconds.

It's easy enough to test, the gylph for this one isn't too hard to come by. Just use up some mana, pop it on yourself, and check the combat log. It actually does give you 2x the regular mana (2 sets of 900 each). Very helpful in the situational fights you might take enough damage to justify using it on yourself (Hexlord).

One thing I'm curious about now though is Beacon. I can't see anything stopping the two from interacting. It's up on the tank, hit yourself with it - free mana for you, free giant heal for you AND the tank!

Also note that, per everything I've heard and the tooltip itself, the target isn't healed up to /her/ full health (which can be easily over 20k, even at 70), but by your maximum health (not likely much over 10k at 70).

Basically, it's intended that we actively use our LoH cooldowns now - rather than a disaster aversion talent that gets hoarded because of the risk of being trapped between cooldowns, it (especially glyphed) will help ease a tough situation back a notch, hopefully before you are even considering if a wipe is imminent.

I expect they also considered that the very lack of a panic button will help Blizzard implement their vision of a day when paladins have a solid, varied toolkit that promotes filling the role of the strongest single-target healer without facerolling.

Now we can just pray that they don't ***** it up.

I can see that beacon of light being somewhat fun to play with, but it on yourself, and continue to heal the tank, would be fun cause you would be healing yourself, and the tank with no added mana cost. Very fun. Most for aoe fights, such as the boss in ZA , the cat boss, I can`t remember his name, its the one where you get ambushed by thoses stealthed groups of cats. Either way, it would be a fun thing to play with.

Bacon of Light isn't cheap. It's a bit over 1k mana without Benediction, and I don't see many pallies with both of those until 80, when it's even more expensive.

Last time I healed ZA, I didn't even remember I had it until the third boss and someone reminded me. And then I learned the awesome of Bacon of Light plus Glyph of Holy Light. Holy light on someone, which procs Bacon. 5 heals on random other people which also proc Bacon. Every single one can crit separately before *and* after the glyph's proc and Bacon.

Edit: Misspelled Bacon.

Really? I couldn't imagine skipping Benediction. With the usage of Holy Shock, and the potential insta-FoL from IoL. I went 51/5/5.

Oh, and 10% less mana cost to LoH....woot!!!...oh wait

I was running a 56/5/0 when I tried holy. But I don't like healing much anyway.

I'm thinking a 53/0/18 build for 80, though. Unless my 28/0/43 build works in any efficient way.
