OK I am a new Shammie so be kind! Can you set Astral Recall in one Inn and your hearthstone at another? Or do they have to be at the same place. Eg Can I have Astral Recall set for IF and my hearthstone at SW?
Astral Recall will take you to wherever you have your hearthstone set. You can not set a different recall point for Astral Recall. Basically, since it's a hearthstone on a shorter and seperate cooldown, you can think of the spell as "improved hearthstone".
Yup, it comes in handy if you need to fly somewhere and return to town when your hearth is down. Let's you return to town 4 times an hour :)

Do shaman even keep their Hearthstones on them?

Yep, in case Astral Recall is on cooldown after traveling a long distance in a short amount of time.

I personally dont keep my hearthstone, its free to get another one if i ever want to, but i dont feel like i need 5 hearth an hour.

I probably never do 5 an hour but I do frequently do more than 1 every 15 mins. :)
