Is AG still King?Follow

I was a SV hunter before this patch. I also spend most of my time raiding and in my guild was usually at the top of the chart during Kara and ZA. Until I get used to the new trees, I have selected BM.

So as far as Gemming and enchants go, is AG still king? Or should us new BM be looking at AP, Crit and Hit Rate with these new trees. My hit Rate was at 95 and my AG is at 755, I have managed to bump Hit Rate to 112 so far. This has dropped my Crit from 42 percent raid buffed to around 30%. I would link Armory however my firewall never lets me into the page. X(

Thank you for any response. Oh and just in case, my main is BangUrDead...Thorzin is a train wreak. X)

As far as I can see, AGI is no longer king because EW no longer affects the entire raid. Its now a self-buff instead of a DEbuff...so SV doesn't seem to have anything to offer the raid anymore.

Under the new MM tree however, you'll notice the new TSA affects the entire raid for 10% of their AP.

Sv gets hunting party, which will be a new Raid wanting skill (mana regeneration to 10 raid members). and improved tracking increases all non-periodic damage dealt to a tracked target(which shouldn't be just the hunter's damage) two raid buffs (while improved tracking isn't quite a direct buuf, but it increases damage so it's still counts as one for me) But without EW, it takes the need from having a ton of agility out. Although Lightning reflexes i still wouldn't pass up.

You should always gem and enchant Agi for raiding. It's still very important for SV hunters, but you shouldn't be wearing Necklace of the Deep over something like the Shattered Sun Pendant just because of the extra Agi.

Yes, but nowhere near as extreme as it used to be.
Wich, in my opinion is a good thing.

Necklace of thedeep being one of the top 3 necklaces ingame as a lvl 65 blue item was kind of ridiculous.

Thanks, I will start to spread it around a bit. I havent given up the necklace yet mostly due to Hit Rate. (I do have the Pendant in my bank) HR is up to 132, of course now there are some posts on TKA saying that there is no need to obtain HR higher then 120 for now. Think I will go spend my badges on making Assassin's Alchemist Stone for the AP since we will be trading badge gear for blues soon enough.

I think its just gonna take a bit of time to sort this stuff out. By that I mean the key weaving, the pet auto attacks and the specs that seem to be dependant on your gear lvl.
