So I just found out that old bubble we got back at level 6 or 8 or whatever now reduces damage taken by 50% That came as a welcome suprise :P

What gems did you find in this patch that you didn't notice before?

edit: link.

Well, I read the patch notes pretty thoroughly, and then read a bunch of other stuff. I payed very close attention to the upcoming changes.. :-\

I found more of an unwelcome surprise: My healing spell power is higher while specced ret than holy, in my holy set. My mana regen is also higher. My crit is about 10% higher, AND those crits give a nice HoT.

And holy is just terrible to solo as. Far worse than even prot now. Holy is ***.

Avenger's Shield bounces farther then it did before, which can be a great thing in some cases, but a really bad thing it others, lol.

I know Kara was nerfed, but I was in on a badge run and threw my shield at a single target. Prior to the patch I would have just gotten that one target (was a waiter or something in the room before Moroes). Well, my shield bounced off that mob, hit a pack with the Spectral Retainer, THEN bounced to a nearby pat! It was crazy!

Obviously cause of the nerf we were perfectly fine, but still it gave a few people a start, and me a big eye opener. I need to be more careful when throwing my shield around now.

You can also glyph for AS to make it hit harder and with greater precision.

At the cost of AoE threat though.

Yea, I won't be using the Avenger's Shield Glyph. 1 target does not sound appealing to me except under certain conditions (ie bosses).

EDIT: it also appears that Hammer of the Righteous procs your Seal in addition to its damage. I noticed that after using it I'd have a stack of Vengeance on targets I had not attacked yet.

Hammer of the Righteous procs seals. It's awesome. Vengeance/Corruption blows Righteousness out of the water on everything but weak single mobs. The application damage of SoV is maybe 8.. crits for 13.
