Mutilate CycleFollow

There is my spec, but my armor hasnt updated yet

I have SnD glyph and garrote glyph (cant find rupture glyph yet, really want it and need it)

I did about 1700-1600 dps. Hovered around 1600+ most of the time.

I used the target dummies on ogr.

MH Instant OH Deadly

My cycle is

HFB stack 3, Garrote, SnD, Mutilate, Rupture, Mutilate, Envenom, Mutilate ,Rupture, HFB, Mutilate, Envenom, Rupture. Repeat.

I do HFB every other cycle starting from that first rupture. Its pretty easy, and also follow the 3 cp and up rule.

Pop trinkets when alot of the other buffs go off.

Rupture glyph won't be available until WotLK.

Fleet Footed doesn't stack with Cats Swiftness. And I really don't understand the obsession with Quick Recovery when poisons are so important to the Mutilate build. But, as you please.

I'm finding that Mutilate plays more like a DoT spec really. Less spamming and more strategic use of abilities to hit them for optimal efficiency. Basically I've given up on strict rotations in favor of maintaining priorities. It's quite a bit more tricky to pull off than Combat, but the results (say hello to 2.4k dps) are great.... so far ;) It may change at some point though.

My priority list goes like this: SnD > HfB > Rupture. Rupture will drop between refreshes without the glyph, but that's just the way it is. DO NOT LET SND DROP. Ever. Right now it's better to refresh with Envenom. HfB is also very important to keep up, only very slightly less than SnD. Restacking either is bad, bad, bad.

You have to learn how to pool (aka "queue") energy well to make this system work. I also occasionally shiv for the 5th combo point, but only do this when you are pooling and waiting to refresh SnD and have a full HfB stack. Basically just for kicks and a bit more umph on Envenom.

I'm seeing better results from IP/DP with my weapons (Trackers/Messenger) in the spreadsheet and actual in-game data. But check the sheet for your set up as it's kinda tricky to figure out weapon DPS/IP procs/weapon speed on the fly.

Good luck.

This.

I haven't had any problems maintaining both SnD and HFB at all times unless the boss stuns ***** you, Kaz'rogal). The thing that separates the boys from the men is maximizing your Rupture uptime, which can be a bit tricky in some cases. Still, I've developed a fairly consistent Rupture > Envenom (i.e. SnD) cycle that seems to be working well (2k DPS on bear avatar tonight).

Huh? Who made up this rule? Why wasn't I informed?

That's a matter of preference, I think. Ofcourse I only PvP, but I have no problems with having poisons up at all time anyway. Quick Recovery is(?) and was so lovely because (pre-patch with the right blessing) it allowed my shockadin pall to give me back nearly half my HP with one 1,5 sec cast Flash Heal. And that's aside from the fact that you can keep spamming finishers when you need them, rather than using one, having it get dodged and then ending up without energy. It rocks against evasion-popped rogues.

For PvE, yeah, I'd pick some kind of poison improvement skill.

I'm stoked to try this.. Not sure if it's most effecient or not.. This is for leveling.. Open from stealth with a garrotte(with glyph), slice and dice(with glyph), with ruthlessness 60% chance to pop a combo point, two mutis, should have 5 combo points now, then rupture or evis if mob is really low. Mob should be bout dead. Only 60 so no envenom yet. Will swap out rupture for envenom when I get it and happy times should ensue : )

For leveling, regardless of build IMO, you open with Cheap Shot, then build to Kidney Shot, ..., profit. Almost universally. You should have no problems killing level-appropriate quest mobs while keeping them stunned.

to the leveling related post i wouldn't even waste energy on SnD and don't use rupture or garrote. Kill them ASAP with them doing little or no damage to you, burst finishers combined with stuns is best.

With my level 51 rogue I go CS - Muti - KS - Muti - 2-3 CP evis if needed. Mobs die in about 10 seconds and if things go perfectly they won't hit me even once. I love it.
