dps is sort of meaningless without at least some crit rate normalization.
I would say you want to line up power boosting stuff, so firing off rapid/tbw etc whenever you want isn't a good idea.
There is pretty much no reason to use arcane shot instead of steady. You're just going to waste mana. Also I don't think the dpm is good enough for aimed either.
Your results with cobra strikes are sadly meaningless. If you're getting a special every 1.5 seconds, cobra is stricktly on the RNG regardless of what shots you're using.
Why are you using rank 2 of steady? It's the same mana for less damage, which makes no sense. Also there is no need for ranks in the macros. /cast steady shot will use the highest rank by default.
Is kill command still interrupting steady? If that's the case you don't want to macro that either. With the longer CD of KC it's not very helpful to macro it anyway.

Yeah, I'm aware of the default about rank, I'm just **** about putting it in so I can track it. In the case of steady, I revamped it from 1 to 2 to see any differences. It didn't seem to make much of one either way. I wasn't super concerned about mana expenditures at this point. It was a simple dps series of tests.
I noticed no interruption of KC to 'steady' but the bars are so fast now that it was hard to tell.
I was mostly surprised to find that aimed seemed to increase the dps output and that ANY special insert into the Auto/Steady cycle seemed to boost damage. Even the arcane one while statistically the 'same' read higher in both the tests I did on it, it was only about ~10-20dps though and so not significant given randomization.
I'll use them in actual live Raid test on Sunday and see what I come up with.

Blizzard made every rank of every spell the same cost, so you really want to be using the highest rank at all times.
